Raffle Game
New Game
Remember the hourly raffle game we had in V2? It's back...but different!
Crystal Raffle Game
The Crystal Raffle Game lets you collect a raffle ticket in the form of an item -- a Raffle Crystal -- once every hour that could win you a cool prize at the end of the week.
This week's prize is either Pokemon Black or White, since you guys have been talking about it on the forums so much, shipped to your house!
Because Raffle Crystals are items, you can trade, sell, or collect them before the raffle ends to heighten your chance at winning (or someone else's chance). When the raffle is held, a random winner will be selected, then all the Raffle Crystals will be purged from the system for a new week of collecting.
You also get a small bit of BP whenever you collect a Raffle Crystal. Enjoy!

New Limited Raw Pets
Pets
New Limited Raw Pets are here!
The Corra and the Chorlu (respectively) are the new limited pets for these following two months. The Corra was the user-selected winner of the Raw Pet contest, and the Chorlu was selected by admins for species diversity. :)
Both colorations above are available in the BP Shop if you'd like to grab one.
To celebrate their release, Raw Crystals in the Cash Shop will be "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" for a week, until March 22. Send the GP to account #1 with a message of what crystals you want. Then make lots of pretty pets!
Example: Gold, Gold free Gold
Gold, Blue, free blue
Blue, Metal, free metal
You can find these pets' psds in the Pet Colorations Submissions forum, as always. Enjoy!

Restart
Site Update
I'm restarting the server in about five minutes so you might experience 5-10 minutes of downtime. :)
EDIT: Server has been restarted. That minimized load by about 1. If you can log any pages you encounter that take a longer time to load than other pages onsite and report them, that would help us figure out which pages need optimization.
EDIT2: Sorry about that, Yasu was improving the forum search feature. (:

March Xaoc Contest

You haven't forgotten about me, have you?
Xaoc owned by TheApostleJudas (#10345), December's winner. Image done by Skitty (#543).
Kicking off the second half of March is our returning Xaoc Contest! This time around you'll have the option of working on a computer or offline, so I hope to see lots of participants. In a sort of extreme monthly pet contest fashion, you'll have two weeks to create the best Xaoc you can that somehow illustrates an aspect of the month of March. Color it, photograph it, sculpt it, then upload it! The grand prize winner will receive a custom Xaoc voucher and four runner ups will get to choose from a prize pot as usual.

Vion Day!
Pets
March 14th is Vion Day!
To celebrate Vion day, there have been an explosion of Vion colors added to the site -- both from an old thread we had a couple of months ago and the new ones submitted on the Vion Day thread. All together, there are 23 new colorations ... which is going to make this new item super fun!
Random Vion Potion
It works just like the other Random Potions - if you use it, your active pet will turn into a random Vion! These are being awarded as prizes for the Vion Day thread, being given out randomly as an activity prize today, be randomly dropped into the Donation box, and will be used as prizes (alongside some Vion Seeds items) for the event forum games. Yay!
Here are some of the new Vions - look in the Aywapedia for the rest!
Vion Seeds have been given an upgrade - they are now the custom maker for the Vion genus. If you have a non-tangible "vion voucher," feel free to drop an admin a message to have to exchanged for a Vion Seeds.
There are going to be forum games starting throughout the day - check the Events Forum to find games you want to play to win some Vion-related prizes!
Also, don't forget to look through the Vion Day Artwork thread to see all of the beautiful art.

Litespeed...
Site Update
Aywas is going to be upgrading to Litespeed, a server software that's about six times faster than Apache, what we currently have. That should solve a lot of our lag problems, let's hope. ;)
Due to this, we may be going offline for a while. Not sure yet. If you see the site go down, that's why!
EDIT: The transfer is complete. We are having some problems with Google Chrome so if you use Firefox you should not encounter any issues.
