I really think the ferret looks too catlike. The body at least needs to be thinner...
I concur with a lot of people that an octopus / squid type would be a lot of fun. Also, dinosaurs... YES! One reason I love the Gnarl so much is because it is so dinosaur-like. I wish there was a whole prehistoric explore area where there were just dinosaurs and other extinct creatures to collect. :D
I honestly agree with what Dember posted on page 3. I would love to see a pet that actually *looked* like a wolf, and wasn't cutesy like the Melo or awkward like the Orimi (though I still love the Orimi). I'd love it even better if it was intimidating / menacing / etc. How about a scary werewolf type, even?
One last thing: The bottom frog is adorable! Got my vote. :)

Hmmmm body types..
Perhaps a beetle based pet? I know we have insects, but none seem to be really hard shelled. Or a spider based pet XD
Also perhaps a shark or eel based pet? More aquatic life would be lovely XD
