Squid/octopus/jellyfish. Crustacean. Snail. Snake maybe? Bear. SPIDERSPIDERSPIDER. Some sort of long-necked creature like an apatosaurus or giraffe or alpaca/llama? -Fly

A boar/pig pet would be cool.
Also a gorilla, though I could easily see that being a hybrid.

FROGGY!!!! ;0;
We need... a spider. And maybe a more stout mustelid, like a skunk or badger.

..it's still not really ermine at all. It's like a long, snub-nosed cat. Cute, but not ferret-like.
As for shapes, we don't really have any real long-necked species. Drylis, I guess, but there's not much option for good edits on something with such big wings/tail to utilize it.
Something more bear-like, that's common? Just a thick-looking pet. Nothing too lengthy or space consuming on it, just a chunky ursa type deal.
