Do you like the referral prizes but don't know how to get new players to sign up with your link?

Here's a guest newspost from Carlos from Virtualpetlist.com. He's going to share some information with you to help you earn referral prizes, as well as help make Aywas grow -- so everyone wins!

Introduction

Do you think its hard to to refer new people? Do you think you need help on how to refer to earn those prizes? Well, we're here to offer you a few new tips on how to refer new people, and how to get your friends--or totally strangers-- to come to the Aywas community.

Blog Posts

Are you a member of Tumblr? Are you a member of Wordpress? Why don't you write up a blog post about Aywas, talking all about the game, and what features it has to offer? Why don't you show off your favorite pets, or your favorite customs? Why not tell your readers a little about your goals on the site?

Remember, include your referral link inside the blog posts, or blog comments. But do not spam on blog comments - make sure the posting of links is allowed.

Blog posts are a good way for people to find about out about Aywas, and for you to earn prizes.

Forum posting

Are you a member of any online communities? Have you made a thread about Aywas - using your referral link, or posting your referral link where allowed? We've used this method for various years and we believe its very effective, because when you post images of the game itself, like some of YOUR pets and YOUR customs, people will want to check it out because of the graphics. Be sure to include some of the features that Aywas has - so people will know how fun the game really is. Tell them your favorite features, too!

If the forum community has the feature of "signatures" turned on, and allows links and graphics, then add an Aywas banner and link it to your referral link. Even if just one stranger joins, you're getting a prize.

Remember, the more active you are on a forum community, the more chances your referral link has for coming up, and attracting new referrals.

Facebook / Twitter

These two social networking sites are an easy way to spread the word about Aywas, and to get people to register with your referral. Are you in a facebook group? Why don't you post a link to your Aywas referral? Don't be a spammer - just send them the link, and ask them what they think. Facebook works pretty well and it'll help you gain referrals.

You can create "pages" on Facebook, so if you want to, create fan pages for Aywas and help people find Aywas. Like melos? Make a melo page! Like customs? Make an Aywas Customs page. Make sure the "page" contains your referral link as well.

Pages work like this: when a user "likes" the page, it shows up on their wall, which posts to their friends. You can also "like" certain pages - like games that are similar to Aywas. Post on their "discussions" forum asking people if they are a member of Aywas, and if they're not, include your referral link.

Twitter is simple: you have to post something no longer than 140 characters, and when you include a certain #hashtag in your post, it'll show up to anyone that's reading that hashtag.

So, something like this would be a good Twitter tweet:
Fun, free, #virtualpets web game, Aywas.com - your referral link here.

Or, something like this would be good as well:
#webgames are fun, that's why I'm apart of Aywas.com - join today!

Twitter is all about communication with others, and having conversations - so I'd recommend that you @ some people and talk to them as well. Show them your customs!

Sometimes gaining referrals from Twitter is hard, but if you put in a lot of effort, you can get a ton of referrals from Twitter - and Facebook.

Deviantart

You have beautiful customs, don't you? Upload them to Deviantart with a description like:

This is one of my custom virtual pets from the website https://www.aywas.com. It was made by (Artist Name) (#ID). On Aywas, you can edit the pets to make them look like anything you want!

If you include your referral id, people who are searching the newest drawings, or who are watching you, might register under your referral. That gets you prizes!

These prizes aren't as far away as you think! Why not try earning them today?

Thank you, Carlos, for your guest post. I hope everyone found that helpful, as we noticed some people aren't sure how to earn referral points. Even one referral will earn you some BP, and referrals stack up, so the more you get, the better prizes you earn!

EDIT: We have new referral banners and graphics!

Just one thing: You can't upload other people's art to deviantart. If it's something you've customized and colored yourself, it'd probably be fine, but if it's completely someone else's custom, they're going to take it down for copyright issues.

It doesn't seem like most of this would be too effective if you didn't have friends/watchers on any of those sites. Internet loners and the unpopular, you're still out of luck! But good luck to everyone; hopefully your posting will get you at least a few referrals. c:

@Kelsey: It's not hard to refer.

I have over 3k referrals on a lot of pet sites - and its strictly from posting about them on Virtual pet list, so its not hard to refer - you just need to be creative.

Reviews on Aywas also help as well - it increases our exposure and appeal on the web - and also increases our backlinks - which means, we'll rank higher on certain keywords on Search.

@Alltrain: Of course, if the artist created, then they can - Images are copyrighted to Aywas.

Yeah, but the article makes it sound like you can just upload any of your customs, whether you made them or not. All I'm saying is that if none of the work is yours, it's not eligible to be placed on DA. :p I was on staff there for close to four years.

Well, all I can say if its work - then use it, and if its someone else's work, then credit them on DA - its not that hard.
