I'm finally done judging the story contest YAY! Now I must say we have a ton of talented authors in our batch. BUT THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE. Except that there were like, five. Anyway, three winners and two honorable mentions =) As always I'll rant about why I chose the winners.

Prizes were upped regarding Aywas content:

First: $45 USD or 50 GP and first pick of prize pot

Second: $20 USD or 15 GP and second pick of prize pot

Third: $8 USD or 5 GP and third pick of prize pot

Prize Pot: Breeding Coin, Glittering Rock, Lesser Breeding Coin

Honorable Mentions: TRE each

WITH: THE HUNTER

I laughed my ass off so hard. I honestly did. I loved this piece the moment I started it, and it didn't disappoint me in the end. It's essentially about the retardation that Chimera has to deal with coming to his door--or at least one instance where he feels he's dealing with retards--and what unfolds when some n00b thinks he's going to try to become a vampire slayer. Yeah. You heard that right. Chimera was not impressed. This story is EXCELLENT, it was so fresh, and I urge you to read it. It made me laugh so much.

WITH: CONTACT

Luuk actually has a really nice series of work concerning these two characters, but this is the one that struck me the hardest. In essence, it's about her character Morgan struggling to deal with the kindness that comes from his enemy, Erling. On a deeper level, it's about Morgan yearning for human contact, but shying away from it, and yet ultimately being unable to pull himself away from it. Read it now. NOW.

WITH: THE CREATION OF AYWALAND

Notwithstanding the fact that Aywaland wasn't quite created like this--hurrhurhurrrr--this is still a juicy read from a comedy standpoint (I have a weakness for comedy, I admit). It's about myself and the NPCs getting together to create the world of Ay. Except, in real life, it was more me chasing after programmers and crying lol. But anyways this is still really entertaining and I truly enjoyed reading it.
