Instead of explore pets, I have some different pets for you to contemplate...
Back in June we ran a contest where people could submit colorations on alternate hybrid linearts. The idea for the pets was dropped but the images are still so pretty D=
And a Vion, because... pretty images never being used! D=
So I figured out a different way to release them!
How do you get them, you might ask? Well... there are a bunch of items you seem to hate...
Annoying Item Bazaar
Trade in those annoying items!
Now that there are more than just the Cheetah Quetzal released, here's how the alt hybrids will work. There will be others released in time, so...
You can breed them to anything with a Breeding Coin (same as any pet), but if you want to use a same-species coin on them, you can only breed them to an alt hybrid of their same species (so the lineart has to match). You can't make customs of them at this time.

EDIT: Tweaked the prices in the shop based on the amount that exist on the site =D

I agree. This isn't really fair for the people who don't have time to explore 24/7. :|a Personally, I find it kind of tedious. Granted, I realize that some people DO have large collections of items, but this is just so short-notice, and for people who don't hoard items, it's sort of a slap on the face.

The prices aren't that bad. I'm usually offline for most of the day, and still accumulate useless items. For example, I've collected almost 500 batwings without even trying. Gathering 1000+ common items is not an impossible task, especially considering the pets are alt line hybrids.

Okay, tweaked the twices - some of them were a little bizarre compared to the amount on site, but these are as low as it's getting.

I've been playing explore ever since I joined and only have 39 batwings. >>
