About the Map Event

I've been floating between each of the conven's forums and noticed quite a lot of chatter when it comes to collecting map pieces for the second part of the event. So I figured I'd share some information on how to get the map pieces and their purpose in the event.

A lot of members believe that the map pieces come only from the Haunted Woods, but actually it's the opposite. There are a total of nine map pieces scattered throughout all of the explorable areas except the Haunted Woods. You do not get the map pieces from the merchant. When you come across a map piece, you will be notified via the explore system.

The nine map pieces are used to unlock a special location during the event where you can then search for a special item to help raise your team's Note score. In order to win the next phase of the event, one team must collect at lease one each each Note -- 50 in total.

Yes, we know the map pieces are difficult to find, and thus far I only see two teams that found at lease one map piece, so what I'll do is increase the rate in which you can find the map pieces.

There are two more stages to this event, so the quicker we get our winner for this stage, the quicker the real fun can begin =P

As a side note, I've also came across quite a few reports about the merchants in the explore areas (other than the Haunted Woods) and the pet gifting. I will begin work now to resolve both issues and you should expect them working within an hour or so.

Also, if you haven't noticed, all explore areas are unlocked for pets created before yesterday night. This is because in an attempt to debug the next stage of the event before releasing it, I accidentally deleted all of the pet's stored explore locations. We are still working with the server company in order to retrieve the back up of this information, but for the time being we'll keep all the locations unlocked for everyone. You should use this opportunity to check out some of the other features each location have available before we get the back ups.
