We come to you with a few updates that we hope users will be excited to see, along with some new fundraising efforts to help staff continue expanding payment options and return the much-requested USD payment options to areas of the site that can support it!

First up is a Job Posting, bringing back an older feature where you can submit a Silver Pet base and item to be added to the USD shop.

Payments include USD profit split, site currency, commission fee credit, and more! Hop over to the thread for full details and FAQ.

USD payments are returning to select breeding teams as site funds can support it.

Currently, we have a small USD stipend available for edited coin teams (including, but not limited to, Breeding Coin, Holiday Breeding Coin, and Grand Teams). We will also be opening the ability for users to escrow artists’ payments for site currency to help keep USD payment an option!

What has changed:

(1) No prepay -- we will pay when the list is turned in.

(2) Lists/breedings need to be submitted on time to guarantee USD pay; otherwise, they will default back to GP/AC. We are pretty flexible as long as communication is maintained and lists are not excessively or repeatedly late. We recommend artists only take one or two breedings at a time, due within a month, to give themselves as much time as possible.

(3) Site artists who have been patiently waiting through hibernation and taking site currency (GP/AC/Fees, etc.), and who can consistently meet on-time requirements, will have priority for claiming USD contract pay. However, anyone may apply to be considered for USD pay.

The rates are:

Edited Breeding Coins:
$15 USD for 30% Edits
$20 USD for 50% Edits
$25 USD for 75% Edits

Platinum Breeding Coin:
$37.50 1 Baby and $12.50 for the second baby
(Applications for PBC are to be submitted through the PBC panel)

Not currently on a breeding team? Now is a great time to apply! All teams are hiring!

We have also heard your suggestions that users wish to help support the site and paying artists USD, while also encouraging fundraisers and other ways to fund the site so that we can continue supporting our artists.

One great feature Brad is rolling out is allowing users to escrow for the site!

See this thread for rates and details.

We hope this helps users feel more confident that their payment is going directly to an artist while still supporting the site. Panel fees for the breeding payment will be waived for the artist.

We’re not done yet!

We have a bit of a teaser for more fundraising coming soon!

Plushie Pets will be returning!

Staff is still ironing out the details, and there will be another news post with more information once we are ready. In an effort to avoid the oversaturation that happened with the Series 11 Plush Kit, and to properly pay the artist making the plushies, there will be a price increase to around $50 USD for the kit or item that allows you to request your pet be turned into a unique plushie. The plushie will be added to the site as a collectable item, placed in a Plushie Series Box, and yes, added to a museum collection!

We do plan to run a sale at a reduced price once we are ready to begin taking orders.

We will give at least one week’s notice ahead of a sale, with clear start and end dates/times, to avoid overwhelming our artist. It will be first-come, first-served. When turning in the item, you will be placed into a queue in order of submission while awaiting your turn.

We will request that all items be used/turned in within a timely manner. Timeframes will be provided once all terms are finalized and the official news post is made ahead of the sale(s). Failure to use the item within the provided timeframe may result in your request being delayed or denied until the next sales push.

Items will only be honored if acquired through USD sales to start with. Staff will make every attempt to ensure they are removed from random item pools (balloons, etc.); however, it will be included in the terms of use that any kits acquired outside of USD sales will have the original source item refunded and the kit forfeited.

We hope to split the site’s portion of the sale between upkeep costs and funding more USD pay for artists! This is a direct fundraiser intended to bring some new life into ways to support the site, while also offering something new instead of the same old rewards that have been available for years.

That’s it for now! Thanks for reading our little update, and don’t miss the news post below about Monthly Customs and Pride Submissions!

( Have a suggestion? Don't forget the suggestions forum is open and waiting)

This is awesome! I also saw some pet statuses were fixed and I got Holiday Tree items returned too, is that related to anything?

Pet plushies are making a return? *__*
I loved those SO freaking much. Can't wait!

Also, artists being able to get USD for breeding teams is super good news! Happy to see things are going well. :)

Raising an item collector hand for a question:

So I've been looking for a Series 11 Plush Kit... will they not be available to find as the original item?
:(

Can you just change the item name to be used for the new plushies, and leave the original item so that we can still find them? Or am I reading this wrong?

I'd love to support your fund-raising effort - it's a worthy effort for sure. I'm on a fixed income so hopefully it will be affordable :(

There are still unopened (and opened) versions of the Series 11 Plush Kit around. They were retired after the last push. Those items will still be findable if previous staff did not have them blocked from random items; they will remain retired/not redeemable.

The new series will have its own voucher item that will likely mimic the Series 11 Plush Kit, in that it will have a voucher to turn in, as well as a box that will give them a random plush from the series to start them off on the journey of collection.

There will be a normal Series 12 Box as well, for users to collect the plushies just like past sets. That will be sold in various places or sales.

I need the unopened version, so I reallyyyyyy appreciate knowing it may still be "get-able"!

And I look forward to the new item and plushies. This is wonderful news!
