A lot of people didn't want a ghost dog, so we'll be keeping the phanto roughly the same. We have a redraw that has the phanto the same as it was in the original, then we have a redraw of Skitty's design that she submitted in the news comments:
Also, remember, July 1 - 9th is BREEDING COIN SEASON!!! Breeding coins will be in the GP Shop for 75 GP as they always are. Here are the defaults for the new hybrids coming out during breeding coin season (sans the foo dog, as its not done yet):
Gael x Rogr | Vyne x Oakl
Soli x Rogr | Oakl x Reve
Okay, enjoy! The foo dog will be done in time for the BC release but you'll have to be surprised when you see its default ;)

Skitty's design could be called Haunter. Because it looks like the Pokemon. Especially in the face.
And also, Soli x Rogr & Oakl x Reve are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I give my firstborn child to whoever drew them.

Phanto: I choose neither design. The first obviously isn't an improvement on the current design (same thing, different pose), and while I like the more menacing look of the second design, it's not enough 'like' to say changing all of the Phantos is justified. Might as well save the time and effort and leave them as-is.
Not sure I care much for any of the hybrids except the Reve x Oakl; none of them really look as cartoon-y as the pets they're hybrids of, and I much prefer the more cartoon-y look. Nice designs (well, not sure how the Soli x Rogr came to have three heads, but interesting design still), I'm just not fond of the actual execution.
Time for me to get back to collecting melos... ;P

I don't like the expression on the new phanto, but the arms and the pose is way better. The expression looks so mean I'd never want it. >3>

THIS HAS PROBABLY ALREADY BEEN SAID BUT: I like the old phanto better :c New phanto is just a soli with a vyne face and phanto head. Really. Not very creative.
