Hi guys! Here's something I've been thinking about: many of you seem to really dislike the phanto, and I'd like to ask: why? Is it because it's not animal-enough? What about the design or pet in general do you dislike?
We have been considering changing the phanto into a ghost dog-like sort of thing (not necessarily a dog, but a ghost quad). Would you like the phanto more this way? Do you prefer it the way it is now? We want you to be happy!
Please share your thoughts!

NO! Pleasepleaseplease leave it the way it is. I like that it seems to be the only Aywa that isn't going the overly-cutesy route (not that there's anything inherently wrong with that - I love most of the Aywas right now). The arms or whatever you want to call them are the only things that I think could use a redo right now...

I think you should keep the phanto the way it is. Some people really like them, and I wouldn't want to take away their favorite pet because I don't really go after them. A lot of the new phanto colours are nice, but the old ones are sorta lacking. And when we get new monthly pets, we never get phantos or solis. Always melos and oakls and an occasional reve or gael.
Beyond that... maybe you could make the crystal requirements different for phantos? Change the percentages? I don't see that happening, but, hey, it's an idea. Personally, I like the animal looking ones more, and that's just me. If the site wants a ghost dog, make it a hybrid between melos & phantos, not a phanto redraw. xD

The kicker is that we have a Melo x Phanto ghost dog already - the Chinthe.

I would love to see a new Phanto! I'm not a big fan of them, their style just doesn't appeal to me. I like the idea of a ghost type thing, but it's just not well... cute. I hate to say it and some people think Aywas is going all 'cutesy' but I actually prefer the cutesy route. Not saying that I want yet another quad (although I loveee quads) but maybe the phanto just needs a redo to make it more appealing I suppose.

I'm not the biggest fan of the current phanto. I don't hate it either, it just doesn't seem all that cute/cool to me. And it kinda looks bald...

I think it should have all the swirls and something that fades to transparency on one side. So half of it has 100% opacity and clear to see and fades to transparency towards the back of it. Fixed expression, body, etc.
I'd prefer quad, but that's just me. xD

I like the phanto well enough--better than reves or gaels anyway. I think a change might be okay, though, but I'd have to see what the other option was. Maybe if you had another option we could vote between the two. Like some others have said, I think the main problem is with coloration. Most of them don't really seem like they've got anything going on. The voodoo and doll ones are cool, but the others just look like random patterns or blobs of color. I'd like to see more that actually look like something.

I would, personally, like to see the possibilities first. Even if they're just rough sketches, it would give us a better idea of what you mean. Then, we could vote as to whether we would like it better as it is, or as that.
I would much rather have a visual before making a decision.

Man... I guess that I picked a bad time to ask for help with my future Phanto custom, huh? *headdesk*
Please, don't change it into an animal. We have more than enough animals already. The Phanto is awesome because it's unique. =/ Not everything has to be aimed at the furry demographic.
