Hi guys! Here's something I've been thinking about: many of you seem to really dislike the phanto, and I'd like to ask: why? Is it because it's not animal-enough? What about the design or pet in general do you dislike?
We have been considering changing the phanto into a ghost dog-like sort of thing (not necessarily a dog, but a ghost quad). Would you like the phanto more this way? Do you prefer it the way it is now? We want you to be happy!
Please share your thoughts!

Not trying to be facetious - but wouldn't making any type of ghost-dog type of pet cancel out the need for the Melo/Phanto Chinthe? I just thought about it ^^;

Looking at Possum's custom with the face edits, it;s amazing what kind of a difference just changing that face can make. I don't like any of the other customs posted here solely because they still have those buggy eyes and empty mouth, and the arms aren't that bad since they both do start out tapered, one just seems to get thicker lower than the other. I really just dislike the face. So much. X_X It looks like a goldfish face the way it is drawn D8.

One thing I think must be taken into consideration is that not everyone is going to like every species. I dislike the Insis - I didn't enjoy them before the redraw and now? I absolutely freaking HATE the new lines with a passion. The tail is horrifyingly phallic and I just head shake all the time at it.
But. I let 'em be. Why? Because some people like them and I know that this is the way things go and are. Especially on sites like this one.
So for the people that dislike the phantos wholly, this is irrelevant, really. Live and let live. For those that LIKE the phanto as it is? Speak! And let the people that don't like them respect that the species exist. As it is. Or with only minor changes.

I personally love them the way they are, except for maybe the curly tendrils on its head. Something could be done with those to make them less weird... although what, I'm not sure. If Phantos must be totally changed, please DON'T change them into some kind of animal. Just keep them as a non-species specific ghost... thing. (I personally consider them to be alien ghosts. xp)

PLEASE please please don't mess with the phantos. They are my favorite species and I love them the way they are. You can't please everyone, there's always at least one pet on every site that only a handful of people like and the phanto happens to be it. That doesn't mean you need to turn it into something else. If you must make this ghost dog whatever thing, make it a new species. Let the few phanto lovers be happy.

I like that they are unique, but I think they look well.... weird. =/ It's hard for me describe. Maybe it's a combo of their overly-derpy expression and the fact it looks like their "arms" look like they're on backwards. But of all the Phantos, the Rainbow one is the worst. Even if you decide to not change them, I think that at least the Rainbow Phanto should be recolored to not look so horrid. X__x

Phantos are perfect. They're actually my favorite pet and the reason I joined originally. I wouldn't change a thing about them.

The whole pet is overall highly unattractive to me..the head looks bald, except for those weird patches of hair you see only over balding old mens' ears, and maybe in the back. Those big swirly things look like massive tumors to me (some of the sagging pustules of which attach by a mere needle-thin bit of flesh, or not at all .__o), rather than ghostlike ectoplasm or wispy clouds or anything of the sort. It really looks like a bloated, misshapen human to me, personally. ohandthearmsandtailremindmeofalimpuncutpeenieSORRY. xDDD; And yes, I'd probably like it a ton more if it were more animalistic.

I personally like the Phanto the way it is now~ x3 I think they're adorable. I would, however, be willing to look at some new designs for them as well.
