Sexify me, cap'n!
In discussing it with Slash, we're now allowing users to submit their own offspring for LBC Hybrid breedings. This comes with a few notes, however:
- This only applies to same-lineart hybrids. Old lineart x new lineart will still be done by us, and of course will regular hybrid breedings as well.
- You will still have to submit four possibilities like any user-submitted offspring. I'll be looking over these just like any other submitted offspring. Submit your possibilities to the usual, [email protected]
- There's something of a 'catch' though: we are still not going to provide hybrid .psds out. If the g2 .psd request board wasn't already an indication, we don't even have a lot of the hybrid breeding ones, so we're not going to be offering those out. You'll have to use the .pngs or somehow rework them to your whims, but you'll at least be able to make them exactly like you want in many cases.
This goes into effect for all LBC hybrid breedings submitted from hereon out. All ones currently in queue are going to be handled by the breeding artists still, as I've pretty much assigned most of them out by now.
Hope this is a good compromise!

Am I the only one that doesn't think this is necessary because one person got an overlay?

That's not why it happened.
It happened because it was pointed out that, since Frey took over, there's really no reason for this to not be a service to Users.
It was sparked in that thread, but it's not because "one person got an overlay"

More than one person have gotten overlays that weren't satisfying
I feel like this is great. When people make their own babies, they put lots and lots of itme into making them as perfect as possible, looking at every little detail and trying their hardest. The artists, though they try hard, can't read minds and know exactly how people want them.

It's not because one person got an overlay. I just asked cause I didn't know why they weren't allowed myself (honestly, I was never told why) and he said he didn't know either. -shrug- So it's being allowed now, lol. And no, still no paying for predicts yet. We've been discussing it, though, to get a decent price and be fair on that versus what artists make. And that's the compromise, Quetzalcoatl, is you can make your own predicts but we're not giving .psds out. We'd like to keep hybrid .psds like we keep site-pet .psds, somewhat exclusive to the site only.
