Hi all! As many of you are aware, the Holiday Breeding Queue has been stagnant for a very long time. In the hopes to get the queue moving, we are introducing some changes to how the coin works.
- Any Holiday breeding where the parent rolled has no PSD or there is no functioning PSD available will roll a random Common, Uncommon, Raw, or Token genus. Breedings submitted before March 11 2022 can produce hybrids!
- The user can select up to three species for the artist to choose from. If there are no species listed or more than 3 are listed, the breeding will default to artist's choice.
- Holiday Fertility Potions will be refunded to the user if the parent base chosen has no available PSD.
Even if your breeding has PSDs available, you can still select up to three species for the artist to choose from. This is the best way to ensure that your breeding can be returned to you as soon as possible as it will be assigned to a BC artist!
These changes will go into effect on April 11 2022. They are retroactive and will apply to all Holiday Breeding Coins and Pendants current and future.
If you are wanting your breeding to function as a normal HBC, please make sure to have your PSDs working and attached. Additionally, please be prepared for an even longer wait time as breedings with genus changes will be delegated to artists who do not work on the Holiday Queue.
If you are looking to receive babies on the same lines as a no PSD parent, you will need to purchase predicts and source your own artist. Our artists will not be recreating PSDs for you. If you are looking to cancel a breeding, please refer to the Breeding Refund Thread.
This is also a reminder that if you are submitting predictions for HBC, they MUST be posted in the HBC Prediction Thread to be processed.

For ANY team, you may apply using examples of predictions you have created, or edited pets (in the case of edited coins) you have made in the past! You do NOT have to use the linked application if you do not want to!

Payment:
30% offspring=40 GP or 60 Credit
50% offspring=50 GP or 75 Credit
75% offspring=75 GP or 112.5 Credit
Key Points:
-Breeding Coin artists edit hybrid bases for offspring
-Holiday Breeding Coin artists usually edit the bases of the two pets bred together
-Anywhere from 30%-75% edited
-Flexible deadline for lists
Don't want to colour your babies? That's fine! Breedings can be split between a baser and colorist. Payment is split 50/50.

LeBlanc (#11625) - I can’t link the threads as I’m on mobile at the moment, but the PSD fetch and availability threads would be the best way for you to find out if there are PSDs available for your pets. You can note that you’d prefer the normal holiday breeding but just be aware that there’ll be a considerable delay as I don’t have any HBC artists at the moment. :]
Loveless (#19023) - as noted further down in the post the changes to HBC are retroactive and apply to all holiday breedings that are currently submitted and future breedings. “These changes will go into effect on April 11 2022. Just for future reference (mostly for clarification's sake, I realised it may not be clear), the changes go into effect from April 11 next month to allow user's one month (and more time due to the length of the queue) to find and attach any necessary PSDs. ♡
Any breedings submitted before March 11 are allowed to choose hybrids among their three genuses, but any breedings after that can only choose between Common, Uncommon, Raw, or Token. Sorry for any confusion! - TJ

I'm very confused. So my alt quil/quolgarian breeding won't be adding edits to one of the original parents anymore then? (They both have psds). I'm just trying to figure out if I want to cancel the breeding or not as the whole point I wanted to breed them was for one of them to get some edits from the other, kinda like how peeps were doing with some silver species.

Belawy (#6513) I belive these changes are just for people who do not have a PSD attached or who would want a random pet type, as the post states = "If you are wanting your breeding to function as a normal HBC, please make sure to have your PSDs working and attached. " So as long as both parents have PSDs the breeding should be fine as it is.

Belawy (#6513) - If the pets you've bred together have PSDs then your breeding can still function as a normal HBC. However, the wait time will continue to be considerably long as HBC as it stands is not moving and those who opt for genus changing options will have their breedings assigned to the BC queue instead.

Just to be clear: Both of my pets for a breeding have .PSDs attached, but I can still select up to three species for the artist to pick from, if I want a genus change, and all three choices can be hybrids?

About HBC, how do I know if a psd is available ? I got many old breeding in the queue where the other users pets had left the site but told me the site should had the psd (not attached) and plus some of my breeding ares site pets that I dont know if their psd ares available.
Can I leave a note for the artist that if the psds is available I will like the normal breeding but in case they not they can choose between three species I will like? So I can put that on all my breeding and not have a surprise random specie that I dont like because I didth know their psd was not available. o3o
