Good evening, Aywas, it is with a somber note that I come to you tonight. I am going to preface this with a trigger warning for death, so please only continue reading if you feel confident you can handle this type of news.
It is with a heavy heart that I am here to tell you that Dani/Kayla-la (#48591) has passed away. For those of you who don't know, Dani was one of our longest standing site artists and a close friend with a large portion of the site.
We ask that you please bear with us as we try to cope with this and ask that you keep discussion of the circumstances off site. We are planning something to honor her memory but it will take some time to get everything ironed out and we will make another news post with that information when we have it.
Dani always wanted to help others, so that is what we are currently planning. We are hoping to hold a donation drive in her honor, if you would like to donate a PSD or create a PSD for her please send me Kaiyo (#489) a PM. If this is a pre-existing PSD please ensure it has not ever been sold or used before, and there can be no rules attached.
Please keep the comments decent, and remember to abide by the ToS. I am keeping comments open, however please be advised this one time I will delete comments if they violate ToS.

I didn't know Dani personally, but they seemed like a very wonderful and amazing person. Thoughts and condolences to her family and friends in this difficult time. ♥

This news is shocking. I didn't know her well but she was always kind to me. I'm so sorry to her family and friends. This site will be different without her. She'll be missed terribly.

Um, I feel that reply from Sloth, well intentioned and thoughtful as it is, is inappropriate. Either they are violating the request to NOT discuss circumstances of Dani's passing here by revealing it was suicide, or incorrectly jumping to conclusions if that isn't the case. It was a nice gesture, but the wrong place and time.

I'm still just like... in shock, I think? I didn't know Dani that well but she was so kind and thoughtful and it's just... absurd to think that she's gone. My deepest sympathies and well-wishes to her friends, family, and loved ones.

Also Aurelian (Inactive) (#71991) - death of any kind can lead to needing a hotline number. I can't say whether or not it actually violates staff's wishes, but personally I do not believe it's inappropriate.

My condolences to those who knew her. I adored Dani's art, but never found the opportunity to really get to know her. I don't know the circumstances of her death, but I hope she can find peace.

Rest in peace, I'll miss you Dani. We didnt talk often, but I always admired your talent, and how nice you were to everyone. I can't believe you're gone, the world has suffered a huge loss.
