Happy Early Valentines Day!

Some of you may have already noticed but the Love Letters are now stocking in The Corner Store and are found in every Adventure Zone! The rarity has been lowered so you also have a chance to cook some up!

For those of you who have never shared the love with us, Love Letters are the Valentines Currency! You use them right from your inventory to send a letter with a message to another member of Aywas. There is also an option right on the forums to send a Love Letter!

You get 1 point for every unique love letter you send, and 1 for every unique love letter you receive!
So if I send a love letter to Eve, we both get 1 point.
If Eve sends one back, we both get another point!
If I decide to bury her in my love and send her 5 more letters all with super amazing gifs, we get no more points but she at least knows how much I love her in animated form!

View your Love Letters (LL's) sent and received on our Love Letters page!

Do remember to not put anything rude, sexual, upsetting, or that violates the ToS in these letters. If you receive one that is, please report it to a moderator and include a timestamped screenshot.

To celebrate the start of the festivities, tomorrow you can find a free Love Letter in the Advent Calendar!

Love Potion (#9) You didn't do anything wrong, our lovely coder just likes to pull a prank on us staffers every once in a while ;) Had you sent *me* a letter a few days back, you'd have received a similar message (I managed to get my time out revoked by now, though =p)

Hahaha that's cool!
Thank you Marjo for the explaination.

Alright then. 4 days after V-day and no word, a change that honestly I think is going to do more harm than good (and looks like I'm not the only one) a new updates page when we already had a coding section on Welcome Back (which should probably just be the homepage anyways if you ask me) and no newspost about it yet despite being told (in comments) we'd get one.
Forgive me, but the lack of meaningful communication from staff is starting to drive me nuts. If there's been a delay, TELL US. This feels like the Halloween and Aymas events all over again, though not as bad if only because this event typically only has Love Letter sending and a shop.

Leo (LLs!) (#64689) - If you are referring to the latest update section, then it's been two days actually and it will have no effect on the event overall. As all past events, stock prices for event shops are always based off of the amount of points that have been collected.

The coding section on the welcome back page was never used to report updates on the site but rather what's being worked on and a place to goof off every now and then. Latest update page allows me to make small posts concerning changes that effect the individual account without the need to cluttering the news (or, in the past, accumulating updates and posting them all at once). The rest of the staff and I are still in discussion as to how I should go about using this section since really the lack of small changes to the site has been due to not being able/keeping everyone in the loop of those changes. This solves that and, again, a news post will be made about it soon once we agree exactly how I can use this.

As for the Aymas event, it's 100% my fault both for it's delay and lack of updates. The reason for the delay I am not willing to share. Though I had given the rest of the staff permission to explain why it would be late, they decided to respect my privacy, and now I ask you to do the same. As for why we have posted no updates about it, the event has evolved into a new feature for the site and will now have an unfair affect on the economy if we release details on it too early. The only thing I can say now is the this event is/would have been different than any events we had in the past both in activity and scripting. The event itself was completed a little over a week ago and now we're just working on balancing issues and tweaks to ensure it won't burn down the server upon any issue (my seem like an over exaggeration, but this does have the ability to shut down a server on error).

Again, a news post will be made concerning all this in the near future. The rest of the staff is busy either with RL things or prepping the event store and I myself am no good at composing coherent news posts (hence to why I rarely make them).

*Yasu (#3410) I'm not saying you have to explain yourself or anything, I completely understand that real life stuff happens and stuff gets messed up, that's not the problem. The problem is that the only say that the event even got messed up was deep in a forum post. It's not 100% on you to post news updates, that's on the staff in general, and there should have been a news post telling us that things got mucked and such, but there's been no newsposts about it and the stuff that's been told to users/put in forums has even been conflicting. The lack of major communication is one of Aywas's bigger problems right now.
Honestly, all that really needed to be put in a newspost was "Hey, real life stuff happened, the Aymas event got messed up, we're not sure when exactly we'll be able to sort things out but we'll update the userbase as soon as we can. We can't turn the Feesh throwing off so please bear with us" or something like that. But instead we got no real word and multiple users, when asked if we could get the feesh throwing turned off, were simply told "We won't turn it off" without rhyme or reason given. "WE won't turn it off" is very different from "We can't turn it off right now"

Leo (LLs!) (#64689) - Any lack of updates concerning the event is 100% on me. For the better part of the December and January, the staff was left just as much in the dark as to it's progress. The staff overall itself didn't get an explanation until late January in which they decided, out of respect, not to share it. Since then, it's been one failed deadline after another (this is about the point were I decided to make this a feature and not just an event). Even now with it pretty much done, it's me holding off any updates made about it until I am satisfied it will not cause any major problems.

As for the feesh, there's kind of a reason for that. We don't know how..

*Yasu (#3410) Well, all I know about the Feesh is we were told they weren't needed for anything and were safe to be trashed and gotten rid of, but there still thrown at us and... I dunno man. If they are for something I'm gonna be pretty annoyed since I trashed almost all of mine.

Leo (LLs!) (#64689) - As far as I know concerning the Freesh, they were only suppose to be findable in the holiday region. We do not know how they made the jump from there to a daily notification. It actually infuriates me -- all those wasted IDs..
