Happy Early Valentines Day!
Some of you may have already noticed but the Love Letters are now stocking in The Corner Store and are found in every Adventure Zone! The rarity has been lowered so you also have a chance to cook some up!
For those of you who have never shared the love with us, Love Letters are the Valentines Currency! You use them right from your inventory to send a letter with a message to another member of Aywas. There is also an option right on the forums to send a Love Letter!
You get 1 point for every unique love letter you send, and 1 for every unique love letter you receive!
So if I send a love letter to Eve, we both get 1 point.
If Eve sends one back, we both get another point!
If I decide to bury her in my love and send her 5 more letters all with super amazing gifs, we get no more points but she at least knows how much I love her in animated form!
View your Love Letters (LL's) sent and received on our Love Letters page!
Do remember to not put anything rude, sexual, upsetting, or that violates the ToS in these letters. If you receive one that is, please report it to a moderator and include a timestamped screenshot.
To celebrate the start of the festivities, tomorrow you can find a free Love Letter in the Advent Calendar!

The Latest updates thing is cool - though I think it could go nicely on the welcome back page. (Of course now we can see that little "new" thing flash as well... :) )

Can this be put into an actual news post? I feel like people aren't going to see this - especially with hearts floating all over the background.
And I don't understand that last bullet:
Love Letters can no longer be sent to players who have not logged in the past 24 hours. We are noticing a handful of players sending LLs to dead/inactive accounts.
It's hard to find people to send to after awhile - this just makes it more difficult in my opinion. I even send one every year to Slash! But not with this change... JAK (#15) has not been online today, therefore you cannot send them a Love Letter.
Can you re-think that change please?

Honestly the change is just going to make it really hard to get points, much harder than it would have been even had it been done a year or two ago. Which makes grinding for letters half pointless since it basically DECIMATES what's left of options to get points. I feel like I'm almost to the # of people that I'd be able to send them to. I could be wrong, I honestly don't have any information, but based on what I see I really don't think more than 400 people log on regularly or semi enough.
I feel like this cut down activity in this event in some ways, I already have 200+ and I haven't done just about anything the past couple days with it. I'm genuinely curious the motivation behind this change. From where I'm sitting with the # I believe gets on regularly I'm sitting awful pretty already and I already know a good chunk probably have much more than I do given my recent slacking.
