The beautiful Swan inspired Essence of October 2017 can be found in the GP shop and will turn your active pet into one of the random colorations from the GP/BP shops from this month!
The Swan Lunaris has gracefully arrived to celebrate the birthdays of those born in October! It is known to be aggressively protective, however, so be careful of rough-housing at any birthday parties.
This month we have a special Premium Item! When used the Totally Not Evil Candy will give you a few pieces of candy every few minutes as long as you are online! This Spell will last the entire month of October! But wait, that's not all~ It will also unlock the forum title: Totally Not Evil!

As you have noticed, Halloween Events have started! You can find the Halloween Hub located under the Community Tab in the top toolbar!
For now the Pumpkin Patch and Trick or Treating are active! As many of you have guessed we do have a bit more in store for Trick or Treating, as well as the main Halloween activities, we're just working on some final preparations for the event!
Please don't forget to visit the Advent Calender every day of October for a free goodie, today Greta has been unusually kind and is giving everyone 50 pieces of candy from her massive pile! Maybe we were wrong about her all this time.

A few small updates, due to my inability to check PM's every day I am changing how the Black Friday sets are being processed. If you are interested in submitting some sets, please send in all the sketches! We will go through them all and approve more than one at a time so that you are not being hindered by my delays.
Which brings me to the second point:
You have one week to collect your PSDs from Mayday!
After this week we will empty the pot so that we can begin stocking for Mayday so make sure you double and triple check that you have downloaded your psds! Once they are removed we won't host them anymore.
One final note of interest, I have just left my job of 7 years and am starting a new full time job. As such I will try to answer all PM's on the weekend, as I try to adjust to this new schedule. I have never had this type of job, so it will be a long bit of a learning curve so please try to be patient with me!

Ellory (#804) We need like a substantial amount of entries to validate the contest, especially with some of the prizes that we give out. If only 2-3 people are entering and we're giving out medium/high tier entries, that means that some one could enter with minimum effort and get a very nice prize. It's really disappointing, as I remember when I used to love entering the art gallery myself but I haven't had any time.

ChaosAzeroth (#43055) Thats why we try to do what additions we can, and around this time of the year the site gets super busy as is, and staff is running around like chickens without our heads to make sure we didn't forget anything (Which this month I remembered to actually put the potion in the shop ;D )Even if you're not great, any entries are worthwhile. It gives us more promise that people *want* to enter the contests.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. I'm not assuming my piece is win-worthy, but I guess what I'm trying to get at is even some acknowledgement of the submissions currently in (even without a prize) would be nice. Or a cheap prize like a random cooking item :p Idk I just mean for those (like me, but again not assuming mine is good enough or anything) who did put actual effort in at least an acknowledgment before then saying "alas, this was the last art gallery for an indefinite amount of time"
Idk if I'm making sense haha but to be clear I totally udnerstand your concerns with the feature! Not hating/complaining or anything.

Oh, I'm not sure if you missed my other question- can I use a design that didn't make it to the gp/bp shops, or do you guys ever hold on to those? I'm assuming I'm safe now that this post is up,but wanted to double check.

I trust you, just wanted to express a concern since if it weren't for your additions the site wouldn't feel like a lot was going on for the most part, and it's an unfortunate cycle because users leave out of boredom and then less things get entered. It's only recently I started contributing things because even though I'm not bad I'm not as great as many of the past ones and it felt lime a waste to do so. We're at a...honestly pretty weird place right now at least in my opinion.
