Plushes!
First of all, our initial quote shows that we would have to order a minimum of 250 pieces, and that they would cost about $12.50 each. That price is just getting them to me. Then I need to ship them to whoever would be interested in them. So, I came up with this idea based on the survey data.
- A Fantasy Melo Plush: Probably Starweilder, Heatwave, or Oceandark. It would come with a rare item code that can be redeemed for a Random Melo Potion and a new Melo coloration related only to the plushes. We can have a contest for it and the designer can get a free plush along with their coloration copy. Probably $15+shipping for the plush, or $20 for plush+item package.
- A Vyne Plush: Maybe Fly Mushroom, Gold Tipped Lotus, Jimson Weed... It would come with a rare item code that can be redeemed for a Random Vyne Potion and a new Vyne coloration related only to the plushes. We can have a contest for it and the designer can get a free plush along with their coloration copy. Probably $15+shipping for plush, or $20 for plush+item package
- Skelly Quetzal: Shown below.
I purchased this design from someone earlier. This package would probably be something like $15+shipping for just the plush of the Skelly Quetzal, $25 for plush + a Cracked Skelly Potion (25% chance of turning a pet into a Skelly Quetzal) and $35 for the plush + Skelly Potion (guaranteed to work).
Personally, I want a lot of plushes so I can put one of each on my shelf and hug them allllll day long. Ultimately however we're faced with needing to offset the cost. It's about $3250 to bring one plush to life and make 250 pieces of it, and that's not even including shipping to the buyers.
Anyway, vote below for what package you think is more fun.

I like this idea of the melo plushies, but could they include Skyfrosts? I love Skyfrosts!

I'd attempt to do simple plushes, but I live in japan, so I'd have to import all the materials and it'd cost and arm and a leg to ship the finished product back to wherever.

I'd LOVE a Queztal plush, but I don't like skeleton/zombie/horror type stuff at all, so I'd be unlikely to buy one in that design. :( So, I voted for the Melo. ^_^; If it was a different color, I'd be all over the Quetzal, though. They're my favorite species. <3

Holy shiznuts, fifteen bucks just to ship it to someone? Did you ever hear of stuffing them with this new stuff called /cotton/, not /gravel/? xDDD; Seriously, even places like ebay are tons cheaper when it comes to shipping a tiny little stuffed animal toy.
Twenty to thirty-five bucks for the plushes /without/ shipping? That makes the neopet plushes seem pretty cheap..that stinks, these are far too expensive for me, although I'd have loved to get a melo one. Not that quetzal, because it's got such drab, unattractive colors, but..man, a melo would have been adorable.
I'd have killed for an oceandark plush, but..oh well. Good luck selling, I'm sure if people can afford such expensive crystals for their customs, they wouldn't have a lot of trouble spending money on a real life plush version of their pets.

I liked the original Plushie post but this one bothers me for many reasons.
We went from an awesome idea to the same junk Neopets offered, no offense. I've been playing there for 5 years+ and I just could not bring myself to spend $10+ on such a tiny toy. The original size was what got me excited. But now I'm reading that the size has changed /and/ it looks like the species/colors I wanted are not very popular/mentioned at all. I think instead of rushing out and trying to make the masses happy, this should be a pre-ordered custom type of thing. I'd be ok with paying for something that is made -for me-.
Not trying to be difficult but seriously, I think we all knew it would come down to Melos being the most wanted.

Dember, I do believe that Slash meant the cost would be $15 (for the plush) + Shipping. I like the idea Hiiro had for solid white plushies that we could color with sharpies, lol. It sounds like fun. 8D - Kyu

It is IMPOSSIBLE to do custom plushes from commercial places. IMPOSSIBLE. Unless you want to pay $500.

Argh, I can't decide. D: Quetzal looks better white haired and with those new markings, I like it much. But Vynes are sooooo cute too. And Melos... I would like them all!

I'm trying to negotiate four plushes from this company for a price that won't kill me :p

I would love to get the quetzal, if it was anything but that "skelly." It ruins it for me totally. I wouldn't buy one unless it came out with a different color, I'm a bit phobic of dead animals, be in in markings or otherwise. I'd probably end up getting a vyne.
