Plushes!
First of all, our initial quote shows that we would have to order a minimum of 250 pieces, and that they would cost about $12.50 each. That price is just getting them to me. Then I need to ship them to whoever would be interested in them. So, I came up with this idea based on the survey data.
- A Fantasy Melo Plush: Probably Starweilder, Heatwave, or Oceandark. It would come with a rare item code that can be redeemed for a Random Melo Potion and a new Melo coloration related only to the plushes. We can have a contest for it and the designer can get a free plush along with their coloration copy. Probably $15+shipping for the plush, or $20 for plush+item package.
- A Vyne Plush: Maybe Fly Mushroom, Gold Tipped Lotus, Jimson Weed... It would come with a rare item code that can be redeemed for a Random Vyne Potion and a new Vyne coloration related only to the plushes. We can have a contest for it and the designer can get a free plush along with their coloration copy. Probably $15+shipping for plush, or $20 for plush+item package
- Skelly Quetzal: Shown below.
I purchased this design from someone earlier. This package would probably be something like $15+shipping for just the plush of the Skelly Quetzal, $25 for plush + a Cracked Skelly Potion (25% chance of turning a pet into a Skelly Quetzal) and $35 for the plush + Skelly Potion (guaranteed to work).
Personally, I want a lot of plushes so I can put one of each on my shelf and hug them allllll day long. Ultimately however we're faced with needing to offset the cost. It's about $3250 to bring one plush to life and make 250 pieces of it, and that's not even including shipping to the buyers.
Anyway, vote below for what package you think is more fun.

Spade: Neopets is the first thing I thought of too when I saw the post... If aywas turned into somthing like neopets I don't think I would want to live...
And for the people that want custom plushies of their pets, there is a site that will make them for you. The minimum price per plushie is $75. I don't know about a all of you, but thats a bit out of my price range.

Uhhh guys? It's not going to turn into Neopets just because we have some IRL merchandise. And I seriously don't see anything wrong with redeemable codes... I mean we already have monthlies in the GP shop, so the only thing that's different here is that you also get a real item out of the deal. The main thing that sucked about Neopets' plush+code gimmick was that they weren't available everywhere. If they're available with GP through the site almost everyone will be able to get one, even people who can't spend cash for whatever reason.
Me? I'm waiting with baited breath for those shiny new Quetzals and shiny new Quetzal plushies. :D

Agreeing that promotional codes don't make this site like neopets. Sites like these take a lot of money to run.
I am kind of disappointed about the size change (almost $40 for a little tiny plushie?), but I understand having to negotiate with the plush place.

It's not the code part that has turned this idea completely down south. It's the worthless size and the extremely limited color/species choices. Like I said before, from the moment this idea was posted we all knew it would be Melos. Vyne, reve, oakl and other less popular species will always get the back hand.
Speaking for myself, Vynes are my favorite species. Thanks for including them but the color choices given are terrible. There shouldn't be a huge negotiation. The toughest part should be getting the body/basic form of these plushies. People should at least be able to buy the color they want.

I wasn't saying this would turn it into somthing like neopets, just that was my first thought and it scared me. Kinda like a war flashback.
And it wasn't the codes and plushies that hurt neopets, it was when neopets became more interested in marketing their toys and videogames than in the actual users on the site X(
