Downtime Delivery!

Site Update

As promised we have two new awesome designs! The concepts were by Toby (#24557) and ❤ Love ❤ (#72947), and brought to life by Kaiyo (#489), and a combo of Kai and Kita (#3988)!

Hopefully you love them as much as we do.

And as a bonus for being so awesome - not only with the downtime, but for it being completely unexpectedly early - we're putting the Downtime Potion to make these into the Advent for two days!

That's right, on the 27th and the 28th you can pick up a free Downtime Potion!

But the fun doesn't stop there...

The Metal Breeding Coin queue is a little sad and lonely - so we've reduced the price of the coin to 7mil BP! This price will be sticking around for the foreseeable future.

And we're STILL not done!

Next week we're going to throw a mini MBC event - much like the RBC event in December but with different themes and perks. Keep your eyes peeled, it might just get you reaching for your BP and throwing it at Scion*.

(* Throwing anything at Scion is not recommended and can result in a very grumpy NPC that staff have to feed cookies to placate. Please do not assault our NPCs with money.)

After a lot of deliberation with staff, we have decided to loosen our anthro rules to allow anthro style pets to be created.

We do however have a few small rules:
- Anthro pets must be fully animal or creature.
- They cannot have any human traits as defined in the disallowed and "in isolation" lists.
- They cannot breed with any pet that has humanoid traits as defined in the "in isolation" list.

The rules may need to be revisited to be stricter in the future if problems arise where customs are becoming too humanoid in a way that goes against the intents of our customs system.

These rules have been added in a subsection of the Humanoid Rules knowledgebase article.

Retired-NPC Keychain update! These are how many remain of each character:
Chaos: 4
Xero: 6
Kaz: 8
Shoe: 10
Zave: 10
Tak: 11
Rogue: 12
Spenser: 12

These are only available until we've sold out, so make sure to grab your favourite before he's gone!

Any chance we could see examples of 'anthro' pets that were previously not allowed but are now? I'm having a hard time imagining this in my head!

Khaos (#11644) - TBH if I could have called it "Disney animal people" and cited "The Rescuers" and "Rescuers Down Under" I think people would have completely understood what I mean, but I'd rather not call anything "Disney style" XDD Things like that and "Tailspin" and "Chip n Dale's Rescue Rangers" really led the style and shows you can absolutely have anthro artwork without breaking our humanoid rules ^^

Dani & Riri (#48591) - I sadly don't have any rejected images (if they absolutely can't pass I don't tend to keep them on record), but examples of what is allowed can be found in Tooki's lair, Chibi's for a Tooki set in her Pets, and if you go to the WB page, Bugbear's are right there XD;

those have fingers though? I've watched those movies XD so yes I would call it "upright animals" as anthro as defined in the urban dictionary includes human skeletory systems. It would also not include zootopia styled critters as those have human styled arms, hands and breasts.

I"m not trying to rag on this it would just be easier to understand what is acceptable by calling them upright animals instead of anthro. If that makes sense?

They've also got humanoid styles arms from what I'm seeing looking at pictures (the mice anyway and koala) rest aren't anthroed from what I'm seeing. Lizard kiiiind of is?

Khaos (#11644) - Anthropomorphism is about assigning human traits to an animal, not necessarily human features. That is one interpretation, but as our rules clearly show that's not in line with what we're allowing. I'm really grasping for straws to give you ideas of what I mean because obviously there are some traits we won't be able to allow that the media I'm giving you as a general idea will have allowed.Taking any of those examples and giving them the correct shape for their forelegs, paws, etc, is what we're working in line with.

When talking about paw hands, would something like Rosemarie and her offspring be acceptable?

Batty (#16156) - Ack, are you trying to get them from the forum? Updating that post is nigh impossible without breaking everything >.o The updated links are in the Special Custom Makers (Active)
KB article (you can also find it there by using the KB search for "downtime").

🍀Allysun🌈 (#317) - Taurs exist under other rules - they're permitted the standard humanoid torso, and often humanoid arms, but no other features. There is some leeway with how paws are used, as long as they look like paws and not hands. (This of course has been violated in the past by other administration allowing things they shouldn't, such as fully clothed taurs, or taurs with obviously human hands or faces, but has been very consistent wtih Vampi, myself, Kita and Kai.) Hmm, thinking on it, I don't think it's written how Taurs are judged, is it? I'll add that to the humanoid article after I've had my morning coffee ^^;

MS♦♢Shadow♢♦ (#54366) - If you have the Rainforest unlocked, some time adventuring there will severely boost your BP, especially if you get a Gold Star Charm. You earn the money for that back very quickly (I think some say about 15 minutes) and then are able to roll in pure profit after. If you're not that big on Adventure and haven't unlocked the Rainforest, the Arctic is pre-unlocked for you, and gives quite decent BP rewards - it would take you longer to get the same amount as you would in the Rainforest, but it's a worthy option.
