Site Update
Hello dears, I'm sorry to appear out of season but I've been sent to you with an important message from the Lunaris Council, the governing body of this corner of the universe.
It's very possible you haven't heard about them since they have been mostly absent during the seven years that humans have colonised here on Ay and Ara. You see there were a few problems they've had to attend to in order to keep you all safe here, and because of that we - the Lunarii and the Shapeshifters - have mostly been absent. We've sent down contacts on a monthly basis for a long time now, and a few Shifters - like myself and Tech - have recently come to make our homes here.
What enabled us to do this was the presence of some people you have come to know well - Kaz, Shoe, Chaos and the others. They came here from their own world to look after all that lived here, and guide you beings that are so like their form in becoming settled, and in accepting people such as myself who are both humanoid and creature.
Now that the worlds are safe again, and that you have accepted us as we are, it is time for them to return home. They catch their transport home tonight at midnight to return to friends and family who miss them dearly, and the lives they have so graciously put on hold for so long to be here with you all.
We thank them for their services, their advice, and their love, and wish them well going forward.
So what does this mean for you?
Well, now that myself and those like me are once again able to be here, we're hoping to keep things running for you as you know them. There may be a few small tweaks, a little personalisation by each of us, but we will try to not rock the boat too much while you become more accustomed to us.
We're all very pleased to be here, and look forward to speaking and spending more time with you. We sincerely hope you feel the same.
As for the Lunaris Council... they are rather hands off and don't like to interfere in interplanetary affairs, but they are watching over us from the skies, keeping us safe as always.
Take care, my loves, and I will see you in February if not before.
Staff just have a few quick notes to add on to what Eryn has said.
We want to give you a list of what the games have been known as and what they are becoming as of tomorrow (June 15th), along with any extra notes we think you might want or need to know about the updated games!
- "Xero's Pet Research" will become "Dylan’s Pet Project". The game remains the same.
- "Axl's Pet Research" will become "Naoki’s Pet Research". It has been updated to show if you have the pets or not, same as the Aywapedia, and the pet name even links you to the Aywapedia so you can go in search of one to buy! Be careful though - the button to give up shows in the same place as turning in a successful trio, so watch what you're doing!
- "Scavenger Hunt" will become "Miksa’s Pet Bingo". The game is the same, but will bring back the old game mechanism where you cannot use "Search" or the Aywapedia purchase options to find a Pet ID.
- "Talk to Xero" will become "Manju’s Musings". Your old data will be transferred to the new game - but beware, the mechanic that resets your BP amount if you miss a day has been fixed! The day is counted as 00:00:01 to 23:59:59, so you can check in with them any time of the day, just so long as you don't skip it!
- Free Food will now randomise between 1 and 10 items for you, but still feeds all your pets.
- "Tam's Item Quest" will become "Pablo’s Item Quest". This too remains the same, but again has a click through to the Item Directory page for the item they want to make it easier to complete!
- "Kaz and Shoe" will now feature Rowan and Minerva! Our cutest Aywas couple will throw plant pots and blow kisses, and you might even get an item out of it!
- "Tak's CDs" will become "Tech's CDs". Once again the item name will click through to the Item Directory so you can see what they gave you!
- "Rogue's Zapping" will become "Ambriel's Alterations". Other than a new caretaker of the random result, the game will remain the same.
There's also new NPC Plushies for you to collect... Some of them come from the updated games, if you're lucky...
We will have more on those at a later date!

As someone who has been a member for longer than seven years, I can assure you, the game was always intended to reward players for a daily log in streak. When that streak is broken, the reward amount was reset to zero. Many sites have games such as this.
We've listened to users, and we've done our best to find glitches and correct them. Unfortunately, we cannot ignore the 'good' glitches and only repair the 'bad' glitches. A glitch is a glitch. To keep Manju going the way Xero was simply defeats the purpose of the game.
We do completely understand how this can be upsetting, or how it can be seen as unfair, and if this were the only way to earn BP, I would agree. If this had not been the way the game was meant to be set up all along, I would agree. However, neither of those factors are true.
I think it's also important to note there haven't been any bans due to botting or botting type behavior in over a year. So, please, don't let that fear stop you from adventuring.
Our overall goal is never to upset the user base, and we truly do wish we could make everyone happy. All we can ask for is a bit of patience as we roll out the new npcs and a bit of understanding that we are working hard to make everything run better.

Adding it's not even fully the amount, if something distressing or depressing happens and you lose years of work even if it is very little reward it really feels like life penalizing you for having a bad thing happen! That's the real issue, and in the case if life dogpilung can cause a user to associate the site with being depressed. I've had it happen with games before and not the only one I know. It's just one of those things that I think will tip players debating on to leave or stay toward leaving honestly.

Oookay guys. Nobody's being "punished." In fact, everyone was being "rewarded," so taking away the reward is not punishing anyone. Honestly.

I'm ok with the Musing thing. Right now, I have somewhere around 80k a day from Xero - but if that wasn't supposed to be the way it goes, I have no objection to the fixed Musing, so that it works as intended.

I can't say I'll miss them. The old ones did nothing for me, and I had some problems with them. I'm really glad for this change.
But it feels like the end of an era nonetheless.

I'm not happy about the Talk To Xero change. It's going to be really, REALLY stressful trying to keep up my streak knowing that my huge BP bonus that I've put years into could be lost after just one day of neglecting to check Ayways, or one day where I'm unable for whatever reason to access the net. This is my preferred way of making BP because exploring and flash games are too time-consuming for me. I didn't know it was even a glitch to begin with? :(

I sort of understand wanting to take characters down because the way they are used makes the creator uncomfortable, but to be perfectly honest that will happen with any public character you throw out there, I'm sure the new NPCs will also be used in those ways. People have their own imaginations and preferences, you just gotta take it with a grain of salt sometimes if you wanna use characters as public mascots. I've never done anything with these characters for the record, just saying in general it's bound to happen with any character. Just so long as no one steals them you just gotta deal with it. Though for the record I've never used these characters in any way.
I'm sad to see the old NPCs go, they were really cool, although I suppose their attitudes were kind of sour. I guess it doesn't make that much of a difference, I'm not here much anyways X3

Actually, I do see another point what happens if a power outage happens in the user's state/area and it causes them to miss a day due to said outage? Basically punishing them for stuff out of their control. I think it’s unlikely for myself. Though I’m sure there are others that are in areas known to have massive blizzard/tornado issues which are also culprits in causing power outages.
The worst for me I think is an outage that lasts over a day due to a heavy thunderstorm or an unfortunate event (encounter both in the past). The only other thing I’m slightly worried about, besides power outage lasting more than a day is not having a stable cell signal for a few days, later in the year. Hopefully, there will be Wi-Fi at the hotel or there will be a nearby cafe that has Wi-Fi. I’m not mad on the change, just voicing my concerns/worries.

Adding in my voice about the Xero/Manju thing. Like Conium said, there's not a lot of middle-ground BP items. Everything worth something is literally millions of BP. Aside from adventuring (time consuming) and flash games (not good at them so also time consuming), there's no other way to make that amount of BP in the same time frame. This is going to impact a lot of people.
