Hello dears, I'm sorry to appear out of season but I've been sent to you with an important message from the Lunaris Council, the governing body of this corner of the universe.
It's very possible you haven't heard about them since they have been mostly absent during the seven years that humans have colonised here on Ay and Ara. You see there were a few problems they've had to attend to in order to keep you all safe here, and because of that we - the Lunarii and the Shapeshifters - have mostly been absent. We've sent down contacts on a monthly basis for a long time now, and a few Shifters - like myself and Tech - have recently come to make our homes here.
What enabled us to do this was the presence of some people you have come to know well - Kaz, Shoe, Chaos and the others. They came here from their own world to look after all that lived here, and guide you beings that are so like their form in becoming settled, and in accepting people such as myself who are both humanoid and creature.
Now that the worlds are safe again, and that you have accepted us as we are, it is time for them to return home. They catch their transport home tonight at midnight to return to friends and family who miss them dearly, and the lives they have so graciously put on hold for so long to be here with you all.
We thank them for their services, their advice, and their love, and wish them well going forward.
So what does this mean for you?
Well, now that myself and those like me are once again able to be here, we're hoping to keep things running for you as you know them. There may be a few small tweaks, a little personalisation by each of us, but we will try to not rock the boat too much while you become more accustomed to us.
We're all very pleased to be here, and look forward to speaking and spending more time with you. We sincerely hope you feel the same.
As for the Lunaris Council... they are rather hands off and don't like to interfere in interplanetary affairs, but they are watching over us from the skies, keeping us safe as always.

Staff just have a few quick notes to add on to what Eryn has said.
We want to give you a list of what the games have been known as and what they are becoming as of tomorrow (June 15th), along with any extra notes we think you might want or need to know about the updated games!
- "Xero's Pet Research" will become "Dylan’s Pet Project". The game remains the same.
- "Axl's Pet Research" will become "Naoki’s Pet Research". It has been updated to show if you have the pets or not, same as the Aywapedia, and the pet name even links you to the Aywapedia so you can go in search of one to buy! Be careful though - the button to give up shows in the same place as turning in a successful trio, so watch what you're doing!
- "Scavenger Hunt" will become "Miksa’s Pet Bingo". The game is the same, but will bring back the old game mechanism where you cannot use "Search" or the Aywapedia purchase options to find a Pet ID.
- "Talk to Xero" will become "Manju’s Musings". Your old data will be transferred to the new game - but beware, the mechanic that resets your BP amount if you miss a day has been fixed! The day is counted as 00:00:01 to 23:59:59, so you can check in with them any time of the day, just so long as you don't skip it!
- Free Food will now randomise between 1 and 10 items for you, but still feeds all your pets.
- "Tam's Item Quest" will become "Pablo’s Item Quest". This too remains the same, but again has a click through to the Item Directory page for the item they want to make it easier to complete!
- "Kaz and Shoe" will now feature Rowan and Minerva! Our cutest Aywas couple will throw plant pots and blow kisses, and you might even get an item out of it!
- "Tak's CDs" will become "Tech's CDs". Once again the item name will click through to the Item Directory so you can see what they gave you!
- "Rogue's Zapping" will become "Ambriel's Alterations". Other than a new caretaker of the random result, the game will remain the same.
There's also new NPC Plushies for you to collect... Some of them come from the updated games, if you're lucky...
We will have more on those at a later date!

Will the plush toys of these NPCs be going away/getting replaced, as well? And I had no idea the talk to Xero thing wasn't actually resetting--I've been worried many times about missing a day and found ways to get the cell service just to click!
Would it be a fair compromise to have a personal high score or something, so you can see what your best total was...? I'm not sure I understand the problem others are having with it being fixed. That's...the intended game, right? I feel like I'm missing something.

Oh gosh. I think I'm gonna die with anxiety over the manju's musings. I'm at over 100k on that. I most certainly don't want to lose it. O.o

That Xero/Manju resting might pose a problem if Aywas have a long maintenance type period (over a day) or something happens and the servers get knocked offline for a day or two. (It has happened before.) There’s a hint of a small maintenance on the 25th but who know how long that really will take. Did not know it was a glitch either I just assumed it had been changed and missed the news about it. Guess I should set up a reminder for here too now.

Oh man I almost forgot but Starry's right; Kaz and Shoe's birthday is tomorrow isn't it? The first day they'll be gone.
On one hand, getting to go home to friends and loved ones on their birthday is actually really cute and ic I love this.
But ooc, will the tradition of an annual free metal event continue? Maybe like a... "Aywapendence Day" to celebrate the day the Shifters fully resumed control of the worlds?

Yay for cute updated characters.
Seconding the problem on long maintanance and reset if not logging in daily, though. For instance, I'd have been reset just at the last server transfer this month, as I slept in Saturday morning meaning the site was down when I got up, and I live in Europe, so the server didn't come up again until after I wen't to bed. While that still gave me more than 12 hours trying to log in, the server was down longer than that.
I lost my login streak at the last big down-time (several years ago) for the same reason. If you're going to reset for missed log-ins there really should be a back-up solution handy for situations like this. :(

This change has been a long time coming, and to me is very welcome n.n The old NPC's never really had a link to the site in anyway, the new ones make much more sense <3
As for people complaining about the Manju's musings resetting everyday, it was always meant to reset everyday, it was just part of the site that is broken. In fact it did reset everyday back in the old days (gosh I've been here too long xD) and honestly, the fact that it will now reset everyday, is in favour of the sites economy for sure. I'll miss the free BP too, of course, but its better for the site in the long term guys <3

🌸 SG 🌸 (#36207) - We're so sorry, by the time we came to be running matters we assumed it was common knowledge and didn't think to announce it. Ironically the features broke the day after one of our admins broke their login streak for the first time - they haven't quite forgiven it yet!
moyaofthemist (#53849) - The old NPC plushies will not be replaced, we aim to not mess with existing items as much as possible.
Dragongirl (#36910) - In the cases of maintenance the coder works to ensure that streaks are not interrupted or lost.
🌸 SG 🌸 (#36207) - We don't have plans for a recurring free pet event, but we do have ideas roaming around to do occasional giveaways (with plenty of warning before hand). As mentioned, we do have one planned for this month knowing that people would be missing the event, and we hope that it will be enjoyable for all.

Everything sounds pretty good except for the resetting of the Talking to Xero. A lot of us built up a huge amount of BP for talking to him over the years, and now you're going to slam a daily resetter on it? That sucks.

Regarding Musings and login, it would have been nice to know login had broken before I went out of my way and sometimes got frantic when it took extreme measures to log in every day for the past 4.5 years or so... x'3;; (i.e. making a trip into town for McDonald's wifi when staying somewhere with no net, literally just to log in really quick, etc.)
I think I might have missed a day or maaaaybe two back in April but that was definitely the first time in years if I did, and I wasn't brave enough to test it to be sure. xD;
I'd... sort of prefer login resetting and Musing not since login is easier to ensure you do on a daily basis and offers less reward, but I suppose I can't complain too much about having at least one that's safe.
