I voted for a set I liked that also happened to be one that made me feel more included visually, and I don't go around questioning why other people voted, because I know it's really not any business of mine if they voted because they like the number four, or they're personally offended by teal, or any other reason. ;)
But remember that it's easy to think it's not a big deal to be represented if you're always represented.
I liked seeing an option that showed me what the set looked like on a skin tone closer to the ones I usually use, and that's not a slam on any of the other sets (since I specifically commented that I liked others too, in particular), just a thanks to the person who changed it up. It was a welcome surprise, and I wanted to thank them for it. It doesn't matter to me why they did it, just that it was kind of cool to see it.
Sometimes a thanks is just a thanks, and not a reason for anyone else to feel defensive. ;)

Kayana (#19032) No worries, I got that. But you weren't the only one mentioning the skin tone and I wanted to make sure people understood that the avatar skin tone has nothing to do with the set. :) But I totally get the wish to see what the sets look like on more than one skin color.
I wonder if it'd be OK to use different colours for the male and female... *ponders*

Now that would be VERY cool..to see how the same set looks on different skin tones!

Personally I'd love it if the avatars could be made available at a larger size with clean lines so that they don't get all fuzzy when you scale them up to draw the clothing base. If the site did that, they could also provide the base in say white or grey or something other neutral... a girl can dream, as they say :)
