Hahah, I was quite put off by that price but thought I must be missing something so I didn't say anything. This is a much better price! Very neat item, and I love the clever item art!

I'm a bit confused. the news says "make their flowing locks into a classy bob" which sounds like you use the tape to change an edit into another edit but then the KB says you can only "Remove part of one edit" Was the news just being overly flowery in their speech?

This seems really limited, unless I am understanding wrong. Seems you can only make things smaller, not bigger? Like, a long tail can become a short tail, but a short tail cannot become long. Am I correct? And am I also correct in thinking that there are no items that allow you to add or swap an edit? (Like wanting a bow around the neck instead of a bell. Or just wanting to add the bow to a non-decorated neck)

I assume they're implying you could mask some of the hair on a pet. Some customs have hair where there's a clear set of lines at a shorter length where you could mask the extra length and wind up with shorter hair.
To make examples from my lair, I could take this pet:

And mask the majority of the braid, thus turning a long-haired pet into a short haired one.
Or this pet:

And mask off the hair from the pigtails and get short hair.
Hair masking is definitely not something that will work with EVERY pet with hair (because many would end up with missing lines otherwise), but with certain artist styles and certain hairstyles, it's a very possible thing to do withing the constraints of the item.
