Site Update
I want to take a moment to thank everyone posting in our Think Tank and announce that we have already decided to implement a few of these! First up, we are going to hold a Special Artist Event!. Some of our older members may remember these, however with the commission panel being added they were no longer necessary as users could hire their artists for cash there. Instead, this event will temporarily remove the predict cap entirely!
Starting right now, artists have until February 27th to accept as many prediction commissions as they feel they can complete within one month. The USD commissions must go through the Commission Panel! All information must be handled in the artists thread and all commissions must be completed by March 27th, 2017. Please see this thread for detailed rules and information! And visit the Predict Event 2017 Board! for who is participating!
The Derpy Dragon and Tiny Silver Potion have both found their way into the USD shop as requested! At this point they are permanent members, as we are hoping to be able to stimulate the SCC market a bit!
We have created a new Platinum Custom Crystal! This crystal is similar to the Silver Custom Crystal, however it does not work with the Silver Custom Panel. This means you will have to provide the the art yourself or hire another artist to do it for you. This crystal is cheaper than the Silver Custom Crystal, and can be found in the GP and USD Shop. It may eventually be removed from one of the shops in the future.
The results of the Save a Raw poll are in! We are happy to announce the winner:
The Horuset is being moved to the ranks of Uncommon Ara! These birdsnakes can now be created with Flaming Orbs!
Because it has been so long and we have so many raws, we have also saved two more raws! The Tavi can now be found under Uncommon Ay, and the Heggal is now a Common Ay species!
We are making a few adjustments to the way users and staff interact. We have received an influx of behavior in crystal checks and customs, that if a user would do to another user they would receive a warning. Due to this, we are going to start moderating these actions and users will receive punishment for when staff is involved, as well. If you repeatedly disrespect and abuse staff, you may receive a warning as well as a temporary customs ban.
This ban is one month in length and means that you cannot submit Crystal Checks, Repository PSDs, or custom designs. Any attempts to do so will lengthen the ban, as will using friends to circumvent it. Anyone found to be aiding a customs banned user in using the custom system will also receive the ban.
This is an unfortunate move that we're having to make, and we hope that this is not something we will have to institute on other features on the site.
One more bit of information, the poll! There has been talk for a Teo Pen, similar to the Fox Pen, that will allow 10% edits for a Gen 1 Teo. Staff is entirely divided on this, so we thought it would be best to ask everyone elses opinion! Please feel free to comment below! The pen would be for USD to help keep them limited and only allow 10% edits.

I can't believe that someone disrespected/abused staff members (usually ppl may be mean to fellow players but try to be nice to the staff, it's like basic so idk, oh my) x_x If some banned user comissions an artist or smbd else to do art/custom pet for them (to trade via trading post) w/o telling they're banned, the artist is gonna be punished too? Is there gonna be any hint of how to see if a user have been sanctioned? Soz for noob questions, I don't really know how this stuff works X'D
As for Teo Pen, idk what to say (I'd say yay if it helps the site with money!)
Also yaaaaaay, horuset! I voted for elphin, but yaaaaay, horuset! XD

About the platinums, I read they can be used to establish a species, but can they also be used with a finished sketch baby that did not have a derp dragon attached (meaning a second founder needs an SCC rather than an actual sketch pen) or do they follow a different rule set? (I hope this made sense) *sweatdrop*

Oooo the raw species that were saved were a nice choice!! Just a suggestion tho: On the Genus page for Tavi and Heggal it still says they're retired and whatnot. (And Horuset has no info aside from desc) Should prolly change that info? Lol. I'm loving all these updates! Hoping to see new colorations of these guys in the near future ^_^

VampVixen (#63444) The genus page is.... a bit of a pain to update - it never seems to do what we want it to OTL So rest assured, we haven't forgotten about the fact that we need to update it. We just need to make sure we're awake enough to deal with its temper tantrums.

Yay for the new "unRaws"! I love the Tavi and the Heggal! Also yay for the Platinum custom crystal (though I kind of selfishly hope it'll remain in the GP store in future if in only one of the shops :P)
Sorry to hear people are abusive in upload notes. *hugs for all staff*
Regarding the teo pen I'm rather indifferent as I'm not bothering much with teos. I think the idea of a snoodle pen that someone mentioned might be a better one :) That said, I do have a charcoal teo egg or whatever they're called and I'd love to see a few more possible teo bases for that. Honestly I bought it first, looked at the bases second, and realised I didn't really care for any of them...

I love that the derpy dragon is available for USD now but, tbh, increasing the influx of SBCs I fear that the times to assign breedings to staff and to complete breedings may even increase further. My last SBC breeding took almost 6 weeks to get assigned, though I'm not sure if this was because of general busy activity or because I used an SBC artist ticket. I do have the general feeling that breedings take way to long to get assigned, though. My HBC breeding from April 2016 has still not been assigned (almost a year later....); my MBC breeding took half a year to get assigned. I still have breedings with BCs, PLBC, and a TFE unassigned for 2,5 months. I know that temp artists are hired and I really hope that this will help to get waiting times for breeding assignment and completion down. I would love to submit more breedings but waiting 6 month or even a year to get your breeding assigned to someone is just not worth it.

I'm semi sure there was a promise that there would never be a straight up gen 1 teo maker, so I could see something like that upsetting a lot of users. I wouldn't care personally, especially if it was a usd thing that helped generate some income, but I could see it potentially causing a problem.
