Good evening folks, we've been dusting off the shelves and prepping things for Black Friday, but I seem to have run across a few issues.
As everyone is very well aware, I only recently took over the position of Community Manager, and I have never actually been involved in Black Friday sales in the past, so I don't really know the majority of the items that go for sale.
Staff and I have been discussing different items that have shown up in the past and we thought it would be nice to get input from the userbase as well! So if you remember previous items go ahead and put them in the comments, please include which Shop they were in and if you remember the price!
That way we can use it as a spring board to properly plot out this years sale :3 Of course prices may differ from previous years, and shops may change around depending on certain aspects, but really anything is a good start.
Feel free to include items you want to see as well!

We could probably pop some of the antiquity staves in the USD shop and a few other limited USD items like PBC, PBC talisman ectect.. (Since a lot of people have already mentioned BP/GP Shop stuff). Maybe even the Mystery egg and other "Bonus" items we've had in the past to ensure some sales from the USD shop.

also I actually remember the glittering slabs being like 10 million BP (or 9 million with the discount). .. I'm not sure why anything would be listed at 11 million reguarly? but I could be wrong. i just vaguely remember seeing it for 9 million, but it could have mean 9 milllion-something now that I think about it ...
also i don't think the price of this should change because it's not fair to newer users that they don't get the chance that at least the past two years have had. as long as they are only available for the four days of the black friday sale, i don't think it should change. or else is just another thing made more limited/"retired" for the sake of older user's making profit with their extras (or to at the very least boost their accounts worth with it being an account upgrade in this case). and i'm so tired of that trend (or whatever you'd like to call it). note: i've felt this way even on sites where i was around since practically the beginning. so i'm not being a butt hurt new-ish person. this is just the way i personally feel.
I get that people "invest" to make due, but not everything has to be investable. and site pets are basically what keeps non-wealthy (USD), non-artist types around... more or less.. or at least they can't get as into customs are the more fortunate... so having an item that helps with site pet collection being more affordable, if just for a very limited time, is the least the site can do or the non artsy, usd-less folk since let's not kid ourselves, this site heavily relies on people buying stuff with USD/commission fees to survive and thus focuses heavily on aspects that could draw in money and whatnot, i.e. breeding items and custom making items (and commissioning items). and if people can afford to get into customs this makes them less likely to be into site pets. though i, personally, am into both so yeah... i guess it varies.
(on another note so this *truly* could be my last comment here, i think it would be cool to have the GCC ticket (maybe regular and lesser?) in the GP shop at an inflated price (so like idk 100 GP / 42 GP for regular/lesser tickets (not counting discounts). maybe also add greater MDTs to the BP shop (wait. are MDTs even still in the BP shop? if not, adding those back maybe would be neat.). i'm don't personally use MDTs, but i know others like them and there are some greater/platinum MDT only colourists people might like to try out (but don't have usd, but *do* have copious amounts of BP). Just an idea though. I know those items cost the site USD though and thus it's unlikely to come into fruition however XD

Maybe Breeding Coins? I can't really think of much else, I don't entirely remember what was up last year and that's the only BF I've seen so far.

I've seen silver/platinum items and the FU item before. And those might just have been discounted. Can't recall the rest though :p

I'd love to see an engagement ring - those things are rare as heck to find. Can't remember if it was black friday or a valentines event in the past that had them once, but haven't seen 'em much since.

I scrolled back through some old news and 2014 definitely lists a lot of information on sales and incentives for black friday that year

mystery eggs and mystery tickets or w/e would be a nice thing, maybe friday only? and antiquity staves!! only one other person mentioned, but i vaguely remember those being released for bf!! :o

I remember buying Glittering Skull a couple of years in a row for Black Friday from the GP shop... I think the price was always 100+ GP. Like 138 GP or 168 GP or somethin'. I bought a FU Pendant once and I think that was at least 200 GP... maybe 300- or 400-something GP?
I think there were breeding items available in the GP shop, too, 'cos in past years I'd stocked up on BCs, fertility potions, etc. during the Black Friday or some sort of December holiday sale for the coming year.

Ouch, I guess I'm FARRRRRRRRRRRRRR away from even affording a neura embryo... I only has like 30 mil, need 140 mil bp to make it, lol.
No worries, I'll find something to buy, I'm sure.
