Hello everyone. This is a quick announcement to confirm DNCs are still in effect during the trick or treat event. Please be aware of which doors you are knocking on, and avoid contact with any accounts you have a DNC with. Should you need an updated list of your individual DNCs, please don't hesitate to contact this account.

i hardly remember my own ID# at time, like hell i'm going out of my way to remember someone whom dnc'd me's ID#. As long as the site makes it available for people to contact those who DNC people, there should be a general understanding that sometimes slip-ups might happen. And people shouldn't be punished for that. That would be ridiculous.
Especially for ToTing. I have since stopped rushing through doors and avoid the 2 doors i'm "supposed" to avoid, but i know several people who say they rush so fast sometimes they don't even remember which NPC they just saw... they shouldn't have to step on eggshells in this particular event because of a DNC against them.
it isn't like they are contacting them on purpose either. Like i said, slip-ups are gonna happen. And it's really on the site for making DNCing so pointless in that you can still contact the person anyways as people are gonna forget. especially those DNCs that are from someone you have never heard of before or talked to before. 1 of mine is like that. got it when i was pretty new too so i didn't even have any real drama attached to me... Was really upsetting because i like to know "why" at the very least so i could /maybe/ learn from it ..
If people change usernames too, that is an issue. Like i said, i don't really remember id numbers. And that probably isn't going to really change /unless/ i talk to someone a lot. i am not good with numbers for starters. i flip them around all the time (have been like that since little.. math was alwasy so 'fun" lol). So idk. Maybe people with DNCs should get an auto-pm when the user who has a DNC against them changes their username. or something. Or maybe they should be required to tell the DNC Desk themselve so the DNC account they changed their username so the dbc desk can send out such PMs (if it can't be automated). this would be a lot more fair. otherwise, this makes the DNC feature even more abuse-able than it already is...
i mean when i first joined the ToS info about DNCs made me think people were actually mediated before and the conclusion is that no common understand will be had before DNCing occurs but that obviously is like never the case. it's suggested. but people simply aren't gonna to follow just a suggestion when there is an easier (less anxiety-inducing) path....
