Hello everyone. This is a quick announcement to confirm DNCs are still in effect during the trick or treat event. Please be aware of which doors you are knocking on, and avoid contact with any accounts you have a DNC with. Should you need an updated list of your individual DNCs, please don't hesitate to contact this account.

I have a DNC from someone I never talked to and I can't remember their username/ID. Luckily, after I looked past this, they haven't been on since August, but even if they did come on, I probably wouldn't know. I think it's kind of annoying if someone can DNC you for no reason and then events like this, you can't remember :(

Not to mention an ignore function for the forum, which might spare some site-wide DNCs. I get that they are a lot of programming, but they would really be appreciated. Maybe the mystery box could finance it?

bd84 (#2783) It's much easier to remember a name than a number. It's also much easier to confuse numbers or remember numbers in the wrong order - I check my DNC list very very often because I can't remember them. Names change frequently, and I've panicked a few times that I clicked on someone I shouldn't have by accident because I was clicking by rote through the hundreds of doors.

Aria ♥ Switch OFF (#1323) I wish!! You'd be surprised how many people DNC someone they've never spoken to....just because they don't like, or disagree over, something about that person. And unfortunately, it puts stress on the person being DNCed. It's a system that can be abused to harass people, rather than protect.
Saphire <3 Lassombra (#407) It's not really a good system the way it is, it can be used to bully and stress someone who hasn't actually done anything wrong. :/

Calico ☕ (#25718) I agree. I cried when I got the one I did because I'd never even talked to the person, so I have no clue what I did wrong. I hadn't communicated with them at all. I'd checked after I got the DNC. However, it is what it is, but with things like this it stresses me, because now I have to go look to see. I forget I even have one without a reminder like this. And I try to be a kind person, so it's hard to remember that someone wants to not have me gift or communicate with them x.x

DeDra {ToT -random} (#67796) oh nope your correct the dnc system is messed up as hell. you slytly annoy someone? they can dnc you. you disagree on one small thing with someone? they can dnc you. you sneeze on someone by mistake they can dnc you. and then if you make a mistake and interact with them? you can get banned. an ignore system where the two cannot see each others activities would be much better.

I kinda wish that there was a functioning block system where the user's shop, posts/threads, and things like this were not available to the person DNC'd.. It would save A LOT of worry for some people, and would probably cause less stress thinking about "what if"s. I don't know the strain this would cause on the server though.. hm.
