What's that on the horizon?!?
"This is Library Mustache, here to tell you that you should submit some books!"
Good day, everyone! I'm happy to announce that Library is officially functional and we're ready to accept books again! I'd like to officially thank our Library Artists that have been hired, and they're all looking forward to help you publish your books!
There are some significant changes being made to Library, so here's an update!
Some of you may remember that the Library submission rules were very strict, and it made it hard for books to be passed. I spoke with the rest of staff and we agreed that it was a little over the top to expect so much for the feature, so the Library Knowledge Base article received a thorough thrashing from me!
Some key changes are:
-More leniency toward submissions in general.
-A much-needed update to how sequels/prequels will work.
-Poetry is now allowed! That's right! No more prose-only! Poems must follow all submission rules. They will need a beginning/middle/end and must be Aywas-related.
Please take a moment to brush up on the KB before submitting more stories!
Some users had expressed concerns about books becoming devalued in user shops and having their royalties basically diminish because of it. To try and fix this, we're going to be setting the rarity of Library-submitted books higher than we previously have. We will also be brainstorming for other ways to keep the books in value without making them impossible to get!
The last thing I want to remind everyone of is that Library submissions count toward Contributor status! If you're looking to turn purple, this is the place to be! More information about earning your purple can be found in the Library Knowledge Base article!

Aw dangit. I don't think I can write like that. My poetry would be something like a traveler talking about, say, the beauty of the Bamboo Forest, like just discussing all the sensations of the place rather than having a plot of any kind.
Thanks for answering!

That could actually pass! You just need an intro that tells the reader what is going on, some kind of focal point (in your case, describing an area of Aywas), and then an end (say he finishes exploring and leaves for home.) If that's not too confusing? xD

Wait, something like that will work? I'll see about submitting some poetry then! Thank you so much!

As long as there's a point to it and it explains (in a valid, understandable way) what is going on, then it should be fine! You're also welcome to PM me if you have any questions about your submissions. c: And you're welcome! n.n <3

With the new way of earning contributor, is the contributor status thread going to be looked at/attended to? It doesn't seem like anyone has gone through it in a while.

Rudy (#4485) For purple to be an incentive, the contributor thread would need to move. Which it hasn't for almost a year.

It doesn't have to be overly descriptive, no! It just needs to play out as some kind of event/story/encounter that has a start, some form of high point, and a conclusion. Kind of like Poe and his story poems. (:
