Lol - Dreyja, I've never seen a bug's feet closely to comment on any of them having hoof-like qualities or not XD

I really don't see any kind of playfulness in the old one. :o!

@chichi: It looks like a continuation of the back leg that was never erased, to be honest. The ridge shouldn't reach that high up, anyway,

Not to me. It kinda seems like he's staring at his tail, like he's afraid it's going to sting him while he's not looking. The center of the iris/pupil is offcenter, indicating the gaze isn't looking out, but back.

Hm, can't we have both? I just don't know which one to choose!
I love the shading on the new one, but the old one just looks much cuter!
I'll just not vote I guess.

Eve - Dude, they're all little sticks. xD Not a single proper leg in the bunch, as far as I know. ----- Also, I like the new one because I'm into showier creatures. I, personally, do not want a giant hooved bug with a massively dangerous tail playing puppy with me. I would much rather them remain aloof and in show pose, with the leg stretched and the tail not pointed in my direction. We already have a lot of really playful pets. Give us something classy and sophisticated.

The old one seems more friendly in the pose, like it's inviting you to play--it seems almost reminiscent of the 'play' pose dogs will use. the new pose just seems less friendly, and more aloof, because of the way it's not really doing anything in relation to you. The way the eye is positioned, it's not even /looking/ at you, it's staring away. There's nothing to really draw you in and hold your attention. *shrugs* I just feel it's got too much difference.
