Would you enjoy having another "Faux Box" type feature that allows any common or uncommon genus set into it? For instance, a box full of Melos, Raffis, Suunes, etc.

How about a compromise? A common/uncommon box that fills for holidays only. Once the holiday is over it closes until the next holiday. It would still give the site the box but just more regulated so it doesn't take away from the site all year round. Maybe have it opened only during site holidays?

Well today's a good day to check back in then- even a more common box would be good depending on how it was being sold/distributed. Unless someone is willing to learn and code HTML for a daily custom, users with little to no art skill have a very hard time getting customs (when custom making/breeding are -arguably- the pull of the site)
So even if the species could be "easily" made under and orb, some people don't have the skill or spare GP/cash to pay an onsite artist.

As long as its not just melo or 'popular' pets I'm in.
Though i also suggest some things so the box isn't so overrun so quickly and like kita and others stated said doesn't destroy the custom maker economy or become a place for people to spam hundreds of entry's if none as being adopted. .
-only have 3 colors per set but allow people to reuse their own lines ONCE if all of them leave the box
-perhaps have stricter rules regarding what can and cant be entered?
-maybe have it where someone can only have 5 sets at a time in there? so popular artists can have quick turn around while others dont just flood the box?
- only opening the box for submissions on certain days of the year so it can be filled then emptied.

how about a rotating genus box. the genus you can submit rotates. maybe include things beyond (un)common, like raw or rares like serrul and scarl or even trinkets. though maybe an uncommon/common genus would be "open" for long than say a rare, raw, or trinket. Actually perhaps ditch trinket. Or maybe open very seldomly for trinket and maybe even hybrid, but that would be designs only so one would have to fund the maker for it. perhaps make /any/ design from the box that is trinket or hybrid be blue so it could be uploaded via a hybrid custom crystal or blue trinket box standardly. And maybe open up the box to Teo twice a year or something (februaryish/augustish). For like a period of 2 weeks. But announced ahead of time so people could work on set earlier. maybe limit it to one or two sets per user. period. even if a mutli-user account. I'm not sure how long the give and take teo event lasted, but I can't help but think maybe there are more faux bases out there than Teo now and faux havn't been around for even a full year yet... Maybe the faux box should "hibernate" for 3 months twice a year (so alternating sets of 3 months would be open versus closed, and vice versa).
AND AND AND maybe the whole plan to put faux that have been in the box for 4 weeks (or was it 6 weeks?) past the netting availability time (so 5 - 7 weeks since being submitted) should be put into the adopt-a-custom feature. And then apply this idea to the other box as well. but idk.. maybe the faux box should be 5 weeks but the other box be 7 weeks as it will have more variety at most given times??? idk)

instead I think about stuff that doesn't matter (or shouldn't matter) to much to me just to avoid having to think for irl stuff 8D;

a new box could be interesting.... But no support, under any circumstance, for any of the common types of pets like Melo, Lepu, Suune, or things that you can easily make with custom crystals / orbs.
Make the harder to get pets say Raw species or trinket species... things that normally are only able to be made with USD shop items already as a box which could make them more accessible to others and not tank the site economy / flood the site with customs of one genus that there are already a ton of (melo for example)
