January is kicking off with a new Breeding Season, bringing you two new hybrids! These hybrids were designed by Mauri and named by her too, so be sure to thank her if you like 'em!
Yetius (Ryba x Orimi) -------- Chugon (Quol x Wibbit)
Ara is happy to see some new hybrids, and we hope you like them too. To fit the occasion, the Breeding Coins are stocking in the GP Shop for the next week.
This month's Jeweled bases were done by Kirara (#11849)! Anyone interested in Jeweled bases should contact me if you'd like to make a set. They're a lot of fun!
Kyu and Mauri are so excited to show you their new Breeding Database. It should be coming out within the next few days, so look forward to see what they've got planned to make your breeding life easier.

I really hate to be a fuddy duddy and was hoping it wouldn't be me.. >-> But.. Am I the only one who immediately thought (pose-change, albeit) "venasaur" when looking at the front page? Upon investigating, I did realize I did not remember 100% what venasaur actually looked like.. But it does potentially strike an issue with future edits of the chugon because it would be fairly easy to make a venasaur clone with a hybrid custom crystal/elixir or a breeding (book of flowers add-ons might also be tempting the devil so to speak). It is cute ofc and by no means a copy or complete rip or what-have-you. And while I personally would not considering a threat as is, I've seen stuff I considered not a thread be considered a threat..so.. I'm not the best type of judge regarding things like this (I also /mostly/ live ina box it seems. or rather really behind the times (mostly 'cause I don't play video games much anymore and anime and manga i've basically lost interest in completely). however, pokemon is old now so i totally remember it /know what it is (though it pains me to say that and I age like 10 years just thinking about it but yeah the truth is the truth lol) /shrug... But most of my concern comes with what people will try to do with the base. While people should know to obviously not do a bunch of certain edits, particularly one ot the giant 'shroom on the back.., people have done dumb stuff. a lot. that is part of life general and I dare anybody to deny it. ahah xp. partly because some people aren't scared to tempt fate. Otherwise also due to people just being dumb sometimes because that is part being human imo uwu; I just think there should at least be a warning somewhere in case anybody lives in a box (or has a stupid attack - a legit thing ;p ) so their pet isn't denied or taken away from them when it is noticed...

I personally think it's different enough from Venusaur, given it has 6 legs and appears at least some what bipedal. Sure you could you the colors and maybe add a flower but I think it'd still be different enough. Especially since it's face/horns basically everything are different. The Chugon are like cute little fat dragon type things and Venusaur is like a weird turtle creature. c: You could easily turn a Faux into an eevee or a ninetails too but hopefully people know better than to upload copyright material.

Honestly, I'm a bit terrified by the hybrids - really not my style of creatures. But the jeweled pets are very pretty! I need at least the raffi and the oakl

I think what really brought my concern is that my immediate thought was venasaur without any thinking or looking close or what not. It was purely my gut instinctively saying it. (I didn't think eevee when looking at faux or ninetails looking at the faux OR orimi (though there was a faux that was pushing it imo >_>; it was a p. awesome design though so i'm glad it through. i am an eevee/etc fan and not a venasaur fan so this might play into that statement though aha). And if a chugon with a flower edit and venasaur colours were to actually pass that would open a whole can of worms with what is allow-able or not. I've seen things which seemed more like references rather than based on type of things that have been denied to be safe rather than sorry... so idk... while I agree that it is different enough as is not not pose a threat, I just am not sure I'd call it an 100% "safe" base (without perhaps at least keeping an eye on it so to speak). Also, to add, vensaur is vena SAUR.. so basic plant dinoasuar. plant frog at the least. idk about turtle. as considering how low the stomach is to the ground all the time, i'd say more toad/frog than turtle because I'm not sure that kind of pudgsy body type would work for a turtle. turtles are more stocky if anything. Actually, with their shell, I'm not sure it is possible for a turtle to be all that pudgy? I have no clue xD;
