TOS Update - Account Sharing

Pets

The TOS has been updated regarding account sharing. Here is the text added. If you are involved in account sharing, please follow the directions as soon as possible to ensure your virtual property's protection.

If an account is shared between two people, this is still considered to be one account. Be aware that in sharing a single account, the actions of both players are held equally responsible for all aspects involving said account. It does not matter if the other players sharing this account are aware of the rules being broken, the punishment will still apply to the dual account the same as a single player account, regardless of whether or not the other person knew the rules had been broken or not.

As of 3/4/2010, all users who wish to engage in shared account behavior must submit a joint agreement document to [email protected] with the following: each user's online handle, e-mail, and what content of the accounts will rightfully belong to that user in the event of an account breakup. Materials listed on the joint document agreement must be returned to its rightful owner in the event of an account breakup. Any goods not listed on this document and any further goods gathered in the account as a result of shared efforts must be dealt with by said users, and administration will not moderate the division of said goods. This joint document cannot be edited, updated, or resubmitted once it has been submitted.

It's a great idea - so many sites don't allow for people to share accounts. This is very forward thinking.
:D

We don't like this at all, we understand why they are doing it but we shouldn't HAVE to do it. >.<
Now we have to go through everything and list what is who's, that will just start arguments that shouldn't have to take place.

It can't be updated? So..basically, even if one user gets new pets (customs, even) or rare items like crystals or breeding coins and so on-- they can't add that to their form of things that belong to them? o__O;; They're permanently stuck with having /only/ what they have, at this exact time they send the form, safe from not being taken away if their account-sharing partner breaks the rules?.. If I understand it correctly, I'm sorry, but that doesn't seem fair at all. There can't just be an ID-Tag of sorts for pets (that can be changed, obviously, in case they're sold or rehomed) and different 'categories' you can put your items into, like a split in the safety deposit box or something? Just a suggestion, but that seems a lot more logical to me, personally. I'm sure glad I've never had any interest whatsoever in sharing accounts with anyone. xDD;

Ahaha. I look like such a jerk 'cause Nessi doesn't play. "I get this and this and this, and I guess Nessi can have this if she ever comes back..."

Dember - The Official Prenup can't change, because otherwise it would be constantly shifting. Slash and BJ have better things to do, like idk run the site. :P

Also, is it cool if we just give each other first choice in certain species? We're not really ... "this this this and this is mine, I have DISTINCT MEMORIES of catching this tanback melo with energy foods I RS'd..."

You're kind of changing that all around, Ela, (I clearly said even customs and such, not some common pet they caught) but regardless. Can't they just make Pet Groups and say "everything in this group is mine and everything in this one is their's", so they're not at risk of losing anything that isn't in the list at the time they send it in? Sorry, but this sounds like an enormous hassle, and personally, if I did share accounts with anyone, I'd probably be moving out rather than sending in a form that only protects the belongings I have at the exact time I send it in, and nothing new that I get, no matter how valuable or important to me.

What if you wanted to share your account with a person who just started? like my boyfriend and i wanted to share an account and currently he doesn't have an acc. do we have to fill out a form?

Dember, why can't the users do that themselves? Make their own groups in their lair with what is theirs and what isn't and keep up with screenshots of this stuff. If you're going to share, take the responsibility of keeping up with your things. Just like moving in with a roommate IRL.

LOL. Me and Violet are sorting this out atm. We're still kinda confused as to how we are gonna send the thing though o-o ....
