At the time of posting, the winning set had been in the lead by 2 votes for several hours. This is why a tie-breaker was not set into action, as Gwenn correctly summarised.

With how far apart the last two were that had a tie breaker it kind of does not seem fair that there was not one this time where they were so close... and now the other base is ahead (even though this was already chosen)

I'm so sorry that people are upset about this, and I completely understand why. I had no idea it was that close. D: Really it had just meant so much to me before that people actually liked my work this time ... but, the last thing I would want is to be part of something seen as unfair even if that means the other set winning in the end (because wow it's beautiful, such amazing work!). I really feel awful about all this ...

Kei's base won fair and square, and I'm not upset over it in the least! I'd been keeping an eye on the poll and for over 4 hours before Eve ended the poll, my base hadn't pulled in front of the stag's base at all. So it's perfectly understandble that they'd beaten me (: I had a feeling from the moment I saw Kei's base that it would likely be the toughest competition, and I was right! Congrats on winning Kei (#4690) and I hope you won't let the comments upset you or make you think people don't want your set ):

Voting doesn't close!
After the winner is declared, people can still vote in the voting. It's even possible a few trolls deliberately are giving Yuu's big cat set votes now, to make it get more votes than the winning set, because they were so close. Just to watch the world burn, and all. ;)
As Eve mentioned, by the time the results were announced, the set that won had been ahead for several hours. While I understand those that expected a revote for just two sets, this was not the case last time that happened.

I understand that people are disappointed that the cat didn't win, but it'd be nice if people weren't being wet blankets. They were both very good sets, and I know that I, for one, will definitely be picking up one of Kei's.
