There isn't. The dark skin is a standard skin (skin tone 4 or 5) that the artist has chosen to use instead of the default skin tone 1.
But it could be that LaxyLilith knows this, and simply want to reward the artist that uses a darker skin tone. ;)

Why do the background pieces all have to be so boring and plain? x.x That's the only piece from this set that I'd want. Ah well, one more disappointing HA base for me, guess I don't need to spend the money anyways =P

35112 I think the blue one with the birch tree is quite special, that's why I like that set the best.

Wolfy wants mxm 1x1s (#35112) How do you mean they're plain? There's gradient backgrounds, seperate colored-in circles, detailing in the flowers or tree, nature-like and fantasy themed, ... I honestly can't think of any other way how to make it stand out even more, they all did a great job on the detailing (the birch tree definitely was done with awesome detailing).

It's just my personal taste, not a lot of them have colors that appeal to me, I dunno, maybe they just look plain because of the base I'm not fond of that covers a lot of it in the front, maybe I'll like them better when I see them with the regular HA base that doesn't cover as much. Really one of my complaints is that the one I liked most was the one with pink flowers, they are cute pink flowers and yet they made the tree green so it blends with the green behind it and just made the green behind it a solid green too. I would have thought it much prettier if they had made the branches a nice shade of brown so it didn't get lost in the green and if they put little spots of pink in the green so that it compliments the flowers on the vine.
