It doesn't really apply to me, in terms of being part of that community, but I'm still ridiculously happy to hear the news. c:

The AG of Texas is asking counties to hold off issuing licenses until they hear from him. Sadly some are complying.

I am happy to be a Dutchie as they were the first country to give same sex couples the right to live together and have rights. Now if they could only get other things right. :P

Congrats America! It is a big step forward.

Haha, Denmark always try to make a point out of being the first to allow "Civil unions". Guess they're leaving out the "Unregistered cohabitation" part. ;)
You learn the oddest things reading Aywas comments.

Yep Denmark was the very first county to allow Civil Unions in 1989. :D
In 1979 The NL was the first country to allow "Unregistered Cohabitation" .:D

I spent at least 10 minutes over Wikipedia before writing the first time, to make sure I got those facts right.
I had no idea there was the whole "Unregistered Cohabitation" before your comment. Because around my little part of the world, media is so busy pointing out the part we did first. XD

Not that anyone are quite there in terms of general acceptance yet, but... Slowly getting better.

Anyway, Yay again for the USA. *cheers*
