Aywas is rainbow for the Pride Event!
The Pride Event is a month long celebration of marginalized orientations, gender identities, and intersex (known as MOGAI or LGBT). Because this is a month long event, you should expect to see updates each week on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and finally on the 30th!
Your premium item for this month is the Pride Candle, which will allow you to select one of many semi-custom Pride Teos. A semi-custom is halfway between a site pet and a custom, like the Skelly Quetzal obtained by buying an Aywas plush.
A reference guide for what each Teo represents is located here for you.
If you've ever wanted a Teo, now's the time to get one! They may not be super-duper unique in the end, but they're Teos and they won't be released outside this event!
Tomorrow, June 2nd, be sure to stop by the Advent Calendar and pick up a Pride Rose. This will allow you to upload one of the Pride Dragons, a special SCC made specifically for this event!
You may upload any design posted to the Reference Guide for Pride Dragons, or you may download the pet's PSD and design your own dragon.
Pride Roses will lose their "power" on July 1st, so be sure to get your dragon colored sometime during this month!
Xaoc Lovers! There's a Xaoc Blind Auction happening in the Events forum. If you feel like donating to your favorite LGBT charity and taking a shot at winning a Xaoc designed by Syncline, be sure to read the thread to find out how to participate.
Our ability to release content for you on the 7th, 14th, and 30th will be determined by how much you participate in the Pride Contests! Be sure to stop by them and contribute whatever you can. There are great prizes!

I would still have to argue with you that it's not, nor is it representative of a whole community. A post with under 800 notes is not even close to the amount of people in the community. I might add that it's honestly kind of ridiculous to suggest that anyone who is not active on tumblr is uninformed. :^s
Not to mention there is a fair share on tumblr do use the NCAV flag, and is linked with AVEN.
You could argue that NCAV is not representative of a whole community either, which is exactly why I'm not arguing for either flag. The simple truth is that there isn't 'one true flag' accepted for aro.
One or two tumblr posts with a handful of notes does not change that fact.

I wish there was a way to get more candles, I was so torn between 4 of them it almost hurt. The Native American twin spirit, the rainbow leopard gay, the Memorial, and the Poly. (the native because I am, the rainbow because....rainbows, the memorial because its so painful, and the poly because I am)
I chose Poly with gender of Fluid. Yay for the perfection of My teos!!! (its my only teo, lmao. but the bestest ever!!!)

The only site I found related to NCAV and aromantic is this one with 3 pages that's under construction and looks like it hasn't been updated in forever. The forum doesn't exist, and more than half the external links are completely broken. The Aro community on tumblr is actually really big, and really active so I think tumblr in this case is one of the best sources for this sort of thing.
