First of all. Yes, the sword is meant to be in a sheath. The only item I meant to be mainly metal actually is the crown thingie (you can kind of tell on the shading, as it has a lot more shines and harder shading edges).
That said, I don't think anyone will mind if your interpretation of the sword is without a sheath. That's sort of the cool thing about the colouring. How people interpret things differently.

A lot of the colours you can actually drag from the female to the male, if you have their parts in individual layers. I intentionally left as much as possible identical on skirt and lower armor to make things easier to colour.

And yeah, working small detail can give great final results. But it can also end up looking really confusing, so it's always good to double check while working. :)

Oh, kk, got it. Thanks for responding so quickly! I'm gonna play it safe and make it a sheath. but I'll bling it out to make it super special (hopefully). though I already blinged the sword somewhat so all I have to do is change some colours of things really.

Also, the easier colouring thing would help a lot if I knew how to open two pictures on the same thing. That' has to be possible. correct? I feel like this should be something easy to do. I feel dumb haha. As when I open a new file the old one I was working on gets closed. I don't think it even opens a new window. As when I go and open the old thing back up, the new thing disappears. it is a loop from hell! D: I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong :C (at least it auto-saved more or less so I didn't loose any work I did with the issue xD; )
