i love love love ace representation but it always feels a lil like a kick in the gut when only aro aces are recognized, when aro allos exist (hi) and many aces will say things that basically equate to "hey! just because we're asexual doesnt mean we dont know how to love!!! we're not robots!!!" and i know this news post isnt saying that at all, but it did remind me of the fact that it tends to happen a lot and i wish it didnt. pfft.

I'm a closet asexual, an "of my generation" type, that just thought I had something wrong with me as I matured, and "settled" (in a nice way) with a man who was not demanding, loved me dearly, and I had time to become a friend of before going any further. :-P Because although I didn't want a physical relationship, and I never felt anything romantically for anyone, I wanted children, so I had to compromise.

We knew nothing about different sexualities as I grew up, II'm just glad that I have now discovered in recent years, that I'm not just odd, and not alone.

You young folk are so lucky to be so aware of your sexuality. But, on the other hand, if I had known then, I might not have had my hubby as a companion for over 40 years, 2 children and 3 grandchildren. So not all is bad. :-)

Leaves me confused and questioning even more than I already am. But also answers a few questions in my mind.
