Transplant lists can be long, and for every person who receives one there are thousands more waiting, which gave rise to the use of pig kidneys to help those people survive the wait time.

This makes me smile so much. While I personally cannot relate to kidney transplants specifically, a dear friend of mine is on the top of the list for a liver. Any transplant awareness is truly appreciated.

Oh, wow. Go me. I read World Kidney Day as Walt Disney day. I was all "What do pig kidneys and transplants and so on have to do with /Disney/ Day..!?"
I feel hella dumb right about now! xD (the pigney purse/satchel items are super cute by the way~)

Awesomeness. I'm one of the people that may eventually end up on a kidney transplant list in a few years - so awareness is very appreciated.
I am also an organ donor, should I ever die (yes, I intend to be IMMORTAL!!!!!! yeaaa, i can only hope, rofl).

Nice art I guess? Being a fan of Kosher diets, I really can't say I care much for pigs.... I wish they could find a way to use something like lamb ;)

This is very meaningful to me! My dad just got his new kidney in November, it still feels magical knowing it finally happened. So glad to see this :D

This makes me cry. My dear and best friend was on the list for new lungs....Sadly she passed before they could find her a new pair....but her heart went to a little boy....
