The moment you have all been waiting for...you can now catch monsters as custom pets!
The first thing you will need to catch monsters is a Monster Certification, which acts like a skill item. When you obtain a Monster Certification, you apply it to your active pet to give that pet the skill to catch monsters as customs.
You may be well on your way to catching monsters if you have been keeping up on your museum collection of monsters (previously in the Adventure/Battledome features but ported over to the museum). You can view your collection of Ay and Ara monsters here in the museum.
When you collect one of each monster in Ay and Ara, the museum operator will give you a Monster License to use on your choice of pet. If you want to get started RIGHT NOW, or you don't want to collect monsters first, you can pick up a Monster License in the USD Shop for $10.00.
You can read about monster breeding and customs in their new Knowledge Base article. Note that we only have lines for a certain number of monsters, and no shading available, so if you want to use Recolor Potions on the monsters you capture, it would have to be the ones with source files available.
However, the userbase can alleviate the problem of having no source files by donating relines to this thread. When a reline is donated and accepted, everyone can start customizing the colors of that type of monster.
Speaking of Recolor Potions, because you'll be needing them for the monster release to customize your monsters' colors, we've decided to re-release them into the USD Shop for some pretty cheap prices. You can pick up a five pack of Recolor Potions for $8, or a ten pack for $12.

@ Cloudsoda (#66625) - Contributor status (purple username) is likely. Our two options were to make the monsters which don't have lines unalterable/unbreedable or give the community the option of using them if they really wanted a particular one. If nobody's interested, that's okay too - there's still a ton of viable monster choices with the lines that were still available.
@ thepretender (#4478) - UK and EU customers can buy anything they wish, all you have to do is contact us directly so we can manually process your order. You can blame the government for that one, not us.

I'm actually really confused. And I've looked at the KB article thoroughly... How do you actually..'catch' them so they are in your battledome training hall(as I suppose that's how they are to get in the museum collection?)? How do you actually get them -into the collection- itself? Any help is appreciated..

Well, now the only thing I have to do is to buy a pet that has about the same HP as the monsters... My darling Rigel had been my trusty primary since the day I joined, then the recode happened and he was knocked down to lvl1. Now he's lvl 15, and I gather XP by getting beaten.

Lunch & Obi (#2021) You just catch them in battle. Enter the battle, lower their HP, but try to not knock it out and then click 'capture pet' button.

There are 2 of the Sand Furyian in the Desert set. That might mess people up trying to get the full set completed. I went through a few pages to see if anyone mentioned it and I didn't see any.

Princess Saturn (#588) I saw it somewhere on the comments. The two monsters have different ids so you have to catch both. The easiest way is with the monster detector as that lists both monsters on the same order as the collection list

So many hours... I refused to stop. Finally, monsters, you can come home with me!
Now to go eat. I love collecting things too much, aywas.. I love you but you'll be the death of me XD
