Google Wallet being removed

Site Update

This is a little notice that "Google Wallet" as a payment solution is going to be removed on March 1st, so if you like that payment processor and want to use it, please get in any last minute transactions.

It is being removed because Google is shutting it down. As far as I know there is no replacement service from Google being offered. We will still have PayPal and Amazon available.

Guess we'll all have to use PayPal in the future.

So a lot of people can't buy things anymore? Bummer. I don't even think hubby uses paypal even though he has it. It's just not worth it tbh. This is a huge bummer and makes me worry paypal is gonna fall through too...

J.A.K. (#15) Jak, not sure if they are decent for the merchant side- but I've yet to have problems with https://www.openbucks.com/ Openbucks. (Forgive lack of hyperlink)

Yikes, this does not look good for those of us overseas. Paypal is not fully integrated/functional in some countries as bank accounts can not be linked :/

I don't know if its relevant, but I just opened a new email on my work Gmail-powered address and it gave me the option to send and request money . I don't know what the hell this is exactly, but its linked to Google Wallet. It MIGHT be worth looking into? https://support.google.com/mail/answer/3141103?hl=en It does look like its only going to be supported between 2 people from the same country tho (US to US and UK to UK)

Well... People wi paypal issues could always use the "trust and friendship" thing... Send the cash to an abled user and the goods all go to the payer, unless agreed upon. Such as bonus teos/pets...

Yeah it sounds more like they are changing Wallet, but it may not be a viable option anymore for a site like this. I really preferred it, and with losing Amazon too, ugh. I really hate paypal.
