Custom Helpers Wanted

Site Update

Earlier today we rapidly cleared the entire custom queue to start "fresh" with an empty queue. As a result, please be aware that you should not judge whether a custom was necessarily appropriate for that item based on whether it passed or not - only egregiously unacceptable pets were rejected from the queues to make for this fresh start.

(EG: If a custom passed under Blue CC today, don't assume that future customs made on those lines will.)

Applications for the volunteer job of custom queue helper are available here. We will need volunteers to help with the overlays so Graymare can process customs faster now that we have the queue down to zero.

Provided we get reliable helpers, we should be able to keep the queues moving quickly. Anyone interested is encouraged to apply for the job.

Give that they don't necessarily follow actual rulings it's not a good idea to speed up the crystal check at the time.

I do understand where you're coming from, but there has been so much backlash about the backlog, people are questioning this quite a bit, and from my understanding people are leaving due to the backlog. ((I do know there has been a lot of drama and upset over it for sure.)) So they kinda got backed into a corner it seems.

I do understand why you would want crystal check to be sped up, and I do hope that with helpers it can be eventually. That is probably a part in the backed up queue as well, as many did not bother with CC since it was so much slower than popping in queue and hoping it worked out. I just meant that currently the way the queue was sped would not work with that. I do hope, again, that eventually it will become what it was when it started.

I think this is so unfair for people who are crystal checking always and submitting only designs with their proper custom creating item.
If there's a fixed and standard criteria for % of customs, I don't see why this shouldn't be applied only because the queue was that long. Who will assure me that there won't be favoritism in allowing higher % pets going through for "friends and friends' friends"? So now someone can have its nice and shiny GCC pet created with a BCC, instead all the others have to pay 14 GP more to create the same design. How is that considered fair at all?!

I am glad the queue has gone down to a fresh start ^.^ I wondered how I got my GCC custom within just a couple of hours ^.^ Hopefully this will now take a lot of pressure off the team in charge of the custom que :3

But it's not like anyone knew this was going to happen. Plus they denied any obviously too high ones, it says it right there. Only ones that were already in the queue and close enough passed. If someone tried to pass a GCC design with a BCC it would be pretty obvious.

In that case, if those are "minimal" % errors, you should honor that ruling for all others, too.
And that's still unfair.
How many people out there in the past got rejected their designs for 1%, 2%? Now there is this "hole" of 2 months customs where maybe +5% pets were accepted too. But this only for the lucky ones who submitted their customs in this lapse, all the orhers will be back to the +1% rejection.
You created this situation, to gain more $ doing special offers, bonuses, free tip designs and so on. Now you can't handle this enormous amount of requests and created an unfair loophole. I don't think it's fair, whatever reason you're going to propose, sorry.

I just want to say I would gladly have paid an extra 14 GP to have gotten my customs back a month earlier. The situation was what it was and it was getting out of control. I don't think cutting people who have been waiting over a month a bit of break is unreasonable. Plus, there were probably also people getting blue designs accepted as gold. Sure, it's not a perfect solution, but at least things can go back to normal now *fingers crossed*. I think the ones it's most frustrating for are the people who needed the crystal check to sell premades but I'm sure even they would rather the staff cleared out the backlog so we're not still complaining about this in April.
