Skeleton Key Reminder

Site Update

collectable_skeletonkey.png

Don't forget to pick up a Skeleton Key from the Advent Calendar at any time on Wednesday, November 12th.
The Skeleton Key is an account-bound, one-use item.

Once you have a key, you can visit the Treasure Chest page here. Using the key to unlock a chest will grant you one random prize from a pool of Halloween goodies, including some exclusive pets, and if you're really lucky, maybe something extra shiny like a Glittering Rock or even a Design Ticket!

Again, as long as you have a Skeleton Key, you will be able to open a chest.
There are more than enough prizes for everyone because we are using a chance-based script, rather than putting in a fixed number of all items/pets, and your key can be used at any time. You'll probably get the most enjoyment out of your prize sooner rather than later, though!

If everything goes well, you might see a return of a similar feature during December for our winter holidays. :3 So I hope you enjoy!

I think it's that the items aren't useful to most people right now.
Had they been items like rosettas, lock picks, golden star charms, grappling hooks, aynip, ect, ones that are useful and worth a little bit, people would likely be more happy with them.

TBH, I wouldn't have been disappointed with getting Jack the Corgi if it wasn't for the fact that I'd already gotten one a while back. I was at least hoping for something I hadn't gotten yet.

I was only enraged because I thought every chest had all four of the pets in them. I see now that I was wrong... and that I was possibly luckier than most.

Still, I'm seeing a lot of nice suggestions here. A daily attempt at an advent-calender style thingy where we could get items or pets, but it's clear that we will only get one or the other, not both (well maybe some BP too would be nice) would be fine and dandy. I also agree that more variety to the prizes (Rosetta Stones, Nests, Treasure Keys, Truly Random Eggs, etc.) would have gone over better. Totally something to keep in mind while continuing to tweak this feature--which I do support... it just needs more troubleshooting.

maybe just have given everyone a chance at one of the four pets as the 'booby' prizes and had the other special prizes as the super great things?
I mean having a bunch of great looking pets being mainly unobtainable through what was supposed to be an exciting prize..kind of sad. Like this is kind of like the cauldron 2.0 except theres only 4 pets who repeat over and over..so what's even the point.

Well.... I must say that I like the thrill of randomized items, but nonetheless, a Graveyard Cupcake is a bit..... I like it that it's an energy item, and I like this concept, but maybe not underline the possible big prizes and instead just say 'a random item'?

Anyway, thanks for the chance at something cool <3

I got a fauna from the Seasonal Shop, the corgi... after the grand announcement I had expected that it would be AT LEAST unique items!

Reading through things, I think maybe in the future make it more clear, that a lot of people obviously are going to get less valuable items than the ones that are the main prizes.

There's nothing wrong with the feature, but people seemed to generally expect the minimum prizes to be higher from the way the event was described. If the description from the start regulate peoples expectations, there'd be less disappointing users.

Halloween Pumpkin. Really? After Halloween? Great.
However Congratulations to those who get a nice prize.
