Change your passwords

Site Update

We have been made aware of a devastating bug in SSL software, explained here. It is important that you change any passwords associated with sensitive information, such as banking passwords, PayPal, etc. just in case. Changing your passwords everywhere is probably a good choice!

Stay safe!

Vunerable* Teach me to type and talk at the same time :p But yes, paypal, facebook, deviantArt, and tumblr are all safe.

I'm sure banks have fixed it, but if my system info can be accessed at a less secure site then then will be able to get my new bank password.. If that makes sense. So changing my bank password won't do any good if they can just get the new password when I visit a non-patched site.

*shrugs a little bit* You know, I will change it, it's due anyway, but it's becoming so common these days.
PayPal, Dropbox and all aren't at risk, so thank you very much for the heads-up, it may be that little push I needed to think up new PWs.

I also plan to change mine and appreciate the info.. But I will probably wait a day or two just to let the rest of the sites patch.

I saw steam on the list, which is the only one that has a password similar to my important things.. housing credit info and such.. but I changed all my important ones. I have "important" passwords and "not so important" passwords and then there's the "i don't care" passwords |D

Appreciate the heads up, changed things, granted it seems most of the sites I changed things on were [email protected]! KS jsut had a pw issue not long ago to@@

Vulnerable list was very helpful.

Steam seems to be the only one that has my card info and is vulnerable, so I guess I should change that.

Unfortunately, *I* don't know my Steam password. XD I just stay logged in.

Thanks for the heads-up!

There's a reason most employers and schools have you change your password every 1-3 months. Make it a habit. You are always vulnerable, but a stagnant password is a sitting duck.

Ugh, the changing passwords will be irritating. Thank you for the heads up, though. I'll be sure to tell my family if they don't already know.
