PMBC and Married Pairs

Items

We unfortunately have an issue with married pairs taking up nearly the entire PMBC queue. While we're happy that the PMBC is being used more, this wasn't an intended result. A volume of married pairs this high makes the coin have very little profit, and in some cases, a loss.

As such, we unfortunately have to amend the PMBC rules to address this problem. From this point forward, pairs submitted via PMBC that are married will have a 30% chance of having a second offspring. Currently submitted pairs will not be affected by this change.

This should allow us to continue offering the PMBC instead of increasing the price (which would be illogical considering how close it is to the PLBC, which doesn't have this problem) or removing the coin entirely.

Sorry :(

I think this was a very good compromise. I'm really narrowing my eyes at you guys complaining. This is a new coin, it was established that it could be changed or yanked at any time, so how you can think it's unfair for the site to not want to lose money on the coin is totally beyond me. At least married pairs can still use it, and with a benefit still remaining in that 30% chance. I personally don't particularly like this coin - you can get unique customs from a lineset without buying more PSDs uses from the creator - so this seems plenty nice to me.

This is very fair. The people who arw huffing about it are not thinking logically about this at all and need to take a step back and realize that the USD shop is literally keeping this FREE TO PLAY site alive and when the USD shop results in a huge loss like it would with this situation, the site dies. So put on your big kid panties and stop your moaning. If it bothers you THAT much, accept the loss of your $8 (less than a meal at a fast food place) and do quit the site that was so cruel to not let you have a second pixel baby. -Liz

Although I haven't personally bought any of the coins, I do think that refunds should be offered to those that bought the coin thinking they could submit a married breeding and get two babies.

Agreeing so much with Liz and Blu. People are acting extremely entitled about this. Those complaining do realise that we're talking real money here and there's no way to fix this without it being at the "expense of the users"? If the site takes a loss, so do we in some way. -- Imay

No offense, but I think real USD refunds would be way to much hassle. It's been said time and time again these coins are in trial period, things are being changed/worked on/ect. On top of that, let's say user buys coin with card because issues having a paypal account. How would those users be refunded. All around, I don't see how refunds could/would/should happen.

Its only an issue because a certain user decided to be nice and open free breeding for a month on their married pair. It's a temporary issue to be honest and like every other business the owner should have set aside an oh-shit fund in case something like this happens. Way to take out timing and coincidence on the user base once again.

Maybe they should just remove the coin altogether. At least then there would be some legitimacy to the whining.

Understandable. Reading the comments, I'm baffled that people are angry that Aywas isn't paying for them to have more babies??? Most places would have just pulled the coin by now, at least Aywas is trying.

I actually think you've made the best of a bad situation here Slash, why people are complaining so much is beyond me entirely. It's a much fairer option to reduce the chance of an extra baby than it is to up the price of the coin, or remove it altogether in my opinion.
