GP Purchase Financing

Site Update

PayPal has been sending me this info about their financing program, and apparently it's only valid until October 31st, so here's the information if it'd be appealing to you:

It's also on the GP Purchase Page if you'd like to view it there.
(PS: It might take a little refreshing for it to come up, I've found)

Edit: Some members are saying PayPal's offer is not very good, so please read their comments and do research yourself.

Im taking this as a push to make people buy GP. Are things that rough?

Yeah, is Aywas in financial trouble Slash? I'm sure the userbase would love to know, since this is like a second home on the internet to many of us. This news post just makes me worried.

Maybe it's time you introduced $$ only items instead of GP?

I feel like if you are in need of money, all you need to do is hold another event like the five dollar puchase/get random items. It would be a quick fix at least. It seemed to take off really well and it sounded like a lot of people bought at least one. Many of us would hate to see you go in the deep end and not be able to support the site.

Read ALL the fine before taking this offer. I was burned huge by it. My credit took a hit and it was a miserable ordeal to get it all straightened out. You better pay it off in LESS than 6 months or get ready to get ripped apart by fees. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS OFFER it can really screw you over.

Uh, this seems like a way to "encourage" users to buy GP, but there's always a catch when it comes to "offers" like that. Why not find another way to promote GP purchases? K

I think adding more bonus's to GP purchases would be a safer route to go.

For example PP (Puzzle Pirates) Has monthly(usually) promotions for "mystery boxes" that can grant something really cool or something worth less.

With them you pay via their "dubloons" (like GP here) or purchase monthly time, and with each tier of money purchases you get a certain amount of "mystery boxes" as well as something that is always valuable in game, which in this case I would think would be the equivalent of SP perhaps. (With them the item is used for special modifications like custom ship names and such)

I could go into more detail in a PM if anyone is curious as to the idea.

Also the boxes are usually themed by color or season as far as what items/color of items you get so you get something new with the promotion each time with the boxes, and a guaranteed extra along the lines of SP points.
