I think both look good, but the paws on the second are really wonky, especially the back leg we can see better.

I like the second better, it has more character. I love the kind of sleepy expression, the big floppy ears, and the way the tail is positioned. The first one is nice and I wouldn't be overly disappointed if that one was chosen, but in comparison to the second one, it looks... sort of like a old, creepy elf-goat-man? I don't really know how else to describe it. |D; I also think the rings on the feathers, although a neat idea, makes them look segmented and strange. And lastly, I think the way the closer back leg is drawn looks awkward. Again, I don't mind the pet really, these are just the reasons why I prefer the newer one.

tough decision D: the first has good positive negative proportions but the second will really show markings better....I think the first one. Doesn't matter because it sounds like my husband is going to vote against me XD

If the second one's legs and tail were drawn different (not a fan of the big fluffy front and thin back legs and just have never liked a tail like that), I would have probably went with it, as I prefer it's face and wings (face reminds me of a Seuss character and I think the fluffier wings go better on these sorts of characters).

I like the pose of the first one better, but the nose, mouth, and wings bother me on it. I voted for 2 'cause I like the face and wings better, as well as that the front hair tuft is bigger, and I'd take image over pose, so there's my reasoning.

I don't know. I like #2's face better than #1. Both are cute but #1's face just didn't hit it off with me XD But maybe #1 would look better to me with the colors ^^;; *still voted #2 though*

Adding: I also agree about the nose, #2 nose looks better, and the longer hair tuft on the head.

I prefer the first, it looks less cluttered than two. Still prefer the original one in the naming contest. :/
