Both are awesome, but I'd have to say one. Because the second one's pose looks alot like how the melo are standing.

2, the pose is cute...the tail and legs look...funky o-o Front leg looks gorilla like...with a thin kitty back leg o.0 And tail looks broken XD Although, I do love the wings.
The first one...to me, looks like the back leg and tail seems much more 'together'

I like the first one more overall (2nd tail is a bit too stiff/angular), but the face creeps me out a bit. I think that it's probably the muzzle :P.

Liking the wings better on the first. That, and the second's pose pretty much mirror the melo. Since this critter will probably be competing with the melo for the "cute doggy" spot, there's no need to make it more simular than it already is.

Gah, that's so cute XD The second one is my fav, but I love the chunk taken out of the first one's ear~
