Apocalypse Hound Event Part 2

Finally, after an arduous chase, the suspects for the killings were caught---standing over their latest liverless victim, no less.

Detective Putman immediately took the five into police custody. Indeed, they were the Jacks. The rookie wannabe-mobsters had finally graduated from misdemeanors to beyond felonies.

But things were not as clear cut as Lester and Putman had hoped. Immediately, the suspects broke out into a roar of accusations, bargaining, and pleas of innocence.

"Call the city council," Putman said to Lester. "We need them in the courthouse as soon as possible."

"What?" asked Lester, unsure if he had heard the Oakl correctly.

"You heard me." His partner replied. "We're men of order. Just because the city has gone to hell doesn't give us the right to cast aside the law. We will run the trial as soon as possible."

"What? But what about the cult!? If these kids are as important to the cult if we think, then what if they try and strike back?"

"They won't," Putman assured. "If these kids are as important to the cult as we think, they wouldn't dare risk it."

And so the five suspects were taken in for questioning...
